Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueOK so July 31st 2021 I had been calling that last week looking for a Local place because had a wedding event in Harrisonville I was a bridesmaid for. Our original hair person backed out last min. Shadowroots actually called me back set up an appointment with me for the morning of the 31st at 9:00 a.m. due to me being a bride’s maid I had a lot of unexpected running around that morning and I ended up having to do. I was running super late I did not get there until noon when my appointment was at 9:00 a.m!! When I tell you Megan got me in and still took great care of me and did a wonderful job on my hair I mean a wonderful job with the time frame we had she did amazing and worked with me so well! She was very understanding of my situation and I was very understanding of hers I would love to go back there. I am from independence personally but I think it would be worth the 37 minute drive to go back out there for my hair to be done again. The Atmosphere was great all of us customers 3 of us sat in there we were chatting with both stylists. It was very cool and I had been running around all morning super stressed and had been sweating and was panicking it was a very comfortable relaxing place! so thank you again shadowroots Megan for taking care of me and helping make sure that I was a great looking bridesmaid!! Bride was very pleased with my look! OK so July 31st 2021 I had been calling that last week looking for a Local place because had a wedding event in Harrisonville I was a bridesmaid for. Our original hair person backed out last min. Critical: ProfessionalismI called today and left a message to have someone call me back. I am new to the area and looking for a new hair salon. When I got the return phone call something happened where we got disconnected. Meghan called me back and right away made they comment she didn’t know if I had hung up on her or not. I didn’t but she didn’t have to come off so accusatory. She simply could have said hey sorry, don’t know what happened. I told her I was looking for a new place and wanted a cut, color and highlights but I wasn’t sure about the style or color. I was immediately told they didn’t have any books I could look at so I’d have to bring my own pictures. No problem. But there is a way of communicating with potential new clients that isn’t so abrupt, This time it wasn’t so much what she said but her tone. I asked her if they have ammonia free products and she said she didn’t know, she never saw it on the box so she didn’t think so. Can you check maybe? Then she said if I wanted to make an appointment I would have to give them my credit card number in case I didn’t show up because they would charge my card half the cost of services as a penalty. I told her I wasn’t comfortable giving out my credit card number but that was policy. She couldn’t even give me a ballpark figure on what the cost of services would be!! Come on please! Learn how to speak to people. If she was having a bad day, I’m sorry but don’t take it out on me. Know your products, know your prices. Treat your potential clients with respect. I won’t be coming there but I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t care anyway…..that’s the feeling I got. Not helpful. Cassie and Amy, stylists at shadowroots are both amazing stylists! I have personally been to both ladies and my whole family goes to this salon and gets their hair done. We highly recommend either ladies to trust with your hair. They do amazing with colors, cuts and more! Thanks Cassie and Amy!!

Hands down best salon!!! I was struggling to find a new stylist little over a year ago. I contacted Cassie but she had no openings. So she recommended Amy. Amy has never let me down with my hair!! I’m extremely happy every time I leave the salons I would highly recommend Amy and Cassie!!
