I purchased a Groupon coupon and had to scheduled a appointment 3 weeks in advanced for a deep tissue massage due to being booked. Thirty minutes before my appointment time, I receive an email from a supposed “Office Manager” canceling my appointment due to unfortunate circumstances. First, I called and attempted to speak to someone, of course, I was hung up on. Next, I responded back to the email to address the unprofessionalism that occurred. They want you to a least give them a 24 notice but can’t do the same in return. I refuse to wait another three weeks for a massage, so I took my business elsewhere.

If I could give a minus, I would. I purchased a Groupon for a massage. It was over a month before I could get an appointment. I made my appointment online, and had to pay an extra $5 because I had a Groupon. The morning of my appointment I received an e-mail from Kenyatta saying my appointment time had been changed from 1:30 to 2:30. I called and left a voicemail stating I needed to keep my original appointment time and I would be there at 1:30. When I get there, the receptionist tells me she had just taken someone back. I told her I had a 1:30 appointment and then she says, oh she’s in the break room. She goes to the “break room” and gets Kenyatta, Kenyatta comes out and tells me she informed me by voice message and e-mail that my appointment time had been changed and she already has someone on the table (I’m sure a non-Groupon client). I told her I made my appointment over a month ago at a time that was convenient for me. I told her I have never had anyone arbitrarily change my appointment time the day of and this was very unprofessional and I wanted a refund. She told me I would have to get it from Groupon (which I did). I told her I wanted a refund of the $5 that I had to pay to book the appointment online and she said she would issue a refund. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing the Groupon. STAY AWAY FROM THIS THERAPIST!

I physically went to Serenity to schedule a massage…two weeks out. The owner Kenyatta scheduled the appt. When I arrived at my “appointed” time (remember 2 weeks later), I was informed by Kenyatta my appt had been cancelled and the massage therapist should have called me the day before to notify me. Obviously this did not happen otherwise I would not have taken time from my demanding schedule to show up! Needless to say I was disappointed; I was more disappointed at how it was handled by this owner more than anything. She wasn’t very apologetic then and even attempted to place the blame on the therapist. I told her it was her responsibility as the owner of the establishment to insure I was notified in a timely fashion, however, she disagreed. As a result of her failure to accept responsibility, I requested a total refund…..she refused!!!! and stated I would “have to get refund from the therapist because she was a independent contractor”!!!!! Needless to say, I was floored!!!!! I informed her I was never notified my business transaction was with a independent contractor and not Serenity Spa (there were no signs to indicate that I would be). Needless to say I was livid. I called and spoke to the therapist the next day and all three of us met later that day to try to resolve the matter. Although it was not said, I have been living long enough to observe some type of “internal personality” thing going on that I was not privy to. I left once again after being reassured it would be resolved. I called on yesterday and was informed by the owner, Kenyatta the therapist was no longer working there!!!!! She said she would forward me the contact info for the therapist via email……needless to say, I never recd it!!! I asked her about refunding my money and she restated her earlier position…”I would have to get it from the therapist”!!!! (I had purchased the “4-massage special package” for $115 approx. 2 months prior). I reminded her my transaction was with “Serenity” and not the therapist. She HUNG UP in my face!!!! I feel this owner, and thus, this company is very unprofessional and I would NEVER EVER go there again; and do not recommend anyone else does unless you want to lose your money like I did! I try very hard to patronize my people and this owner’s conduct is the reason a lot of small minority business owners get a “bad rap”!!! #verydisappointed

I was given 2 groupon gift certificates by my children for mothers day. I scheduled a massage for a friend and myself via the phone. Six days later I received an email stating my appt. was cancelled. I called to find out why the cancellation, left a voice mail, which prompted that I would receive a return call within 24 hrs. Never received such call. Attempted to call several times after that and voice mail was no longer working. Went to web site to reschedule and realized my original appt. was “booked” and website will not allow you to book yourself without a credit card. I asked for an explanation for the cancellation via email, and instead received a promo to book 1hr massage at $27. Well my groupons are about to expire, they will not answer the phone, cannot leave a vm, they do not respond to emails sent. Very POOR BUSINESS, I will notify groupon about this messy business. These 2 groupons cost $50.00. This was a ponsey scam run by these women to collect money on services they did not perform. Oldest trick in the book. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just called to set an appointment today 1/22/2015. Thursday. The receptionist told me to use the website to book my appointment. I told her I did but it would only let me use a credit card. So she transferred my call. The phone rang until the voicemail came on. I hung up and tried again online. I had the same problem again. The appointments only accept credit cards. I think they are taking all of their paying clients and discriminating against Groupon Clients since we got such a good deal. Don’t offer these deals if you can’t handle the demand. I can’t even get there without wanting a refund. I’ll just stick with Massage Envy. At least I know they are going to be there.

My experience was less than satisfactory! I walked in and both ladies at the check in counter looked at me and neither one greeted me. After reaching the counter and standing there for a few seconds one of the ladies finally says” Hi take this clipboard and fill out form”. During the massage I felt like I was being rubbed down with lotion rather than an actual massage. I left with the same stiffness and soreness I walked in with. I have had several massages in the past with other companies and this one was terrible. I won’t be back!

I was referred to Kenyata of Serenity Wholistic Wellness LLC by a friend, and I was not disappointed! Exactly the opposite!

GHETTO and DISTASTEFUL! The polar opposite of welcoming, and a starter kit for bootleg business! If you purchase through Groupon, consider your massage as good as gone. You will be treated like you paid for it in gum! KENYATTA is rude and off putting. I was greeted by “follow me” (no smiles, no welcome, no hello, no eye contact, messes up you’re whole zen-chai-zone-whatever!) Every spa allows a 15minute window. I tried calling 4 times because this place is not easy to find and her phone was going straight to voice mail.

Excellent Service with Kenyata Woods at Rejuvenate Wholistic Wellness. Loved my massage and left feeling great. I would definitely recommend visiting her establishment.
