I was hoping to write a good review, but honestly can’t. I had gotten my hair done late June with Alyssa for a baylage, which I’ve been getting for a couple years now. Long story short – I brought in a few reference pictures and my hair came out nothing like it – it came out orange, it was streaky, and chunks of color up to my roots, no color in the back of my head. The appointment took like an hour when usually my hair takes 3 hours, and I was charged $65 for a 2 minute trim. It was right before my family pictures, so it was extremely disheartening as my hair looks awful in them. I reached out and the manager offered to get it redone by another more experienced stylist and agreed that is not what I had come in for, but I was not comfortable getting my hair done there again. She amended the situation by putting a credit on my account to another service, which I finally just used. The 2 stars are really for her being very nice and trying to give me a better experience, I respect that very much, and the receptionist that was extremely welcoming both appointments.

I got my hair done with Alyssa a few times. All times were so nice. Alyssa and the rest of staff were very professional and kind. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, PunctualityI had my first visit to Serenity Spa & Salon today and I had a 60 minute Swedish massage with Kirsta. It was honestly one of the best massages if not the best massage I’ve ever had! She was so friendly, polite, and professional, but most importantly she took the time to listen to me and did exactly what I needed and asked for, checking in to make sure the pressure was ok and that I was comfortable. I left feeling so relaxed (which doesn’t happen very often) and scheduled another appointment for the next month. I had my first visit to Serenity Spa & Salon today and I had a 60 minute Swedish massage with Kirsta. It was honestly one of the best massages if not the best massage I’ve ever had! She was so friendly, polite, and professional, but most importantly she took the time to listen to me and did exactly what I needed and asked for, checking in to make sure the pressure was ok and that I was comfortable. I left feeling so relaxed (which doesn’t happen very often) and scheduled another appointment for the next month. I’m so very happy with my first visit and I can’t wait to go back!

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI am appalled at the treatment I received at serenity spa tonight. I came in 3 weeks ago to fix what I called my covid hair( unable to go to salon due to covid). I have been there previously mostly for massages and have seen another stylist who was great but asked for the first appointment available. I saw a new person Alyssa who was pleasant at first but obviously very inexperienced. I asked for light brown or dark blonde and came out dark, dark brown. I did not see the final result because the power went out so until I got home and was shocked bye the color. I was going to call the next day but decided to wash it a few times and try and lighten. After multiple washes I called and asked for an appointment hoping for a highlight or toner something to help lighten the color. When I got there today I explained to Alyssa my hair was way to dark she said you asked me for the color. I said I wanted it one color but this was neither light brown or dark blonde. She did not feel comfortable highlighting my hair because it would fall out. I live in Tyngsboro and have a well so yes I have dry hair, but I don’t think it’s going to fall out. I asked if a deep conditioner could help then highlight and she refused. I said so you can do nothing. I came in to have my hair fixed and was willing to pay for Her mistake but she wouldn’t do it. I understand they go bye a level system my assumption is she is a new grad and needs more training especially on customer service. I am appalled at the treatment I received at serenity spa tonight. I came in 3 weeks ago to fix what I called my covid hair( unable to go to salon due to covid). I have been there previously mostly for massages and have seen another stylist who was great but asked for the first appointment available. This world is in up arms right now, not only that but I had a family member pass away, which the members of the salon KNOW this. it was mistake on my HALF. But they gained $120.00 of mine!
