My husband and I like to enjoy a relaxing couples massage a couple times a year as a treat to ourselves. We had purchased a 60 minute couples massage through Groupon and scheduled our appointment for a Sunday afternoon. We arrived at the Spa, filled out our paperwork and went into the room with 2 massage therapists. The room lighting was the daylight coming in from the corners of the closed curtains, the temperature was very cold and the atmosphere was not a relaxing or romantic one like we were expecting since we have had couples massages before. We were asked what kind of pressure we wanted like usual, they both stepped out and we got onto our beds. The massage tables were standard wooden ones with a foam egg crate mat on them – not very comfy. During the massage the back of one leg was completely missed, there was no fabric cover on the plastic headrest – I had to ask for a towel to put on it so my face was comfy, there was no foot massage; this was supposed to be a full body massage and when we were finished they tried to charge us an extra $30 for our choice of pressure! Never had we experienced anything like this before and would not recommend this place to anyone. I did a review on Groupon and Serenity Day Spa responded with:

My boyfriend and I booked the couples ‘ massage and what a fantastic experience!! We were greeted by two lovely ladies, they offered tea while we did our paperwork and then did a consult on preferences etc. which I enjoyed how thorough they were to ensure they would meet our expectations versus some places that wait until you are already on the table, they left us to change and the massage beds with the memory foam were wonderful, nice music, perfect lighting, and the ladies were professional yet friendly, wonderful atmosphere and experience as this was our first couples’ massage and we will definitely book again!! The robes were luxury quality and they had water ready for us as we were leaving…Pampered every step of he way from the moment we entered the door until we left, thank you so much and we will definitely see you again!!

Had a couples massage here with Leah and Summer and it was amazing!!! We did splurge for the facial and foot scrub along with a 90 minute massage, was totally worth it!!! My skin feels super soft and my better half dozed off during the massage. Side note my better half is petrified of people touching them. The hot towel on my face and back was a bonus. The ladies were super professional and can read the body with the pressures to use. Was warned up front about a price difference for a swedish and more pessure. Will most definitely be going back for another.

I Bought a Groupon deal for a 90 min massage at serenity day spa, it took 2 weeks to schedule my appointment due to never receiving a call back. Finally I was able to schedule an appointment for my daughter and I after calling a second time.

We purchased a Groupon for a couples massage and they said we they would be unable to schedule an appointment using a Groupon for a full two months. However, they said they could schedule us if we would pay $30 more than our Groupon price. Worse, they said we could only use it Monday through Thursday, which was not feasible for us, nor in the Groupon fine print.
