So admittedly, my mom enjoyed her massage here. And that’s what mattered. But I need to echo that I experienced every single one of the negative things that have already been stated in these reviews. No communication. Extreme language barrier. No draping etiquette at all. She left so many times during my massage for the door bell you could hear from the room. Her phone was going off next to my head the entire time. They were having conversations throughout the massage. But the important problems are that they made me feel violated and they bruised me in multiple places with terribly poor massage techniques. From the get go, they just rushed my mother and I into a couples massage room even when we asked for separate. Then they made me take off my swimsuit top before they would start the massage. She almost ripped my swimsuit bottoms by yanking them up my crack. She left my backside out in front of god and everyone. And she left my legs spread and when she realized it, she left the leg she was working on just straight and bruised my hip bad.I came out exhausted and cried in the car. Again, my mom’s massage was good even though she kind of hurts too. But there was multiple times I almost just got off the table and left.

First massage experience at Serenity. Average atmosphere but received one of the best 85 minute massages ever from Judy. Arrived with every part of my body hurting. Left feeling great physically and mentally. Planning to return monthly Judy. Thank you! Somewhat of a language barrier, but not a issue for me.

It really depends on who you get. I’ve had great massages from this establishment and I’ve had terrible massages here as well. On certain occasions I’ve come out feeling refreshed and other occasions I’ve come out feeling beaten and bruised (worse than a fight I got into once). Aside from the severe language barrier and the person giving the massage leaving during the massage to answer the door, on sometimes multiple occasions, is the fact that that is incorporated in your massage time. So you may request for a 60 minute foot massage you may get 50 minutes of the actual massage depending on how many times the masseuse gets up to go do something. Which can happen somewhat frequently.

I have been going here for 6 years. New owner bought it a year ago. Big change in the cleanliness of the place in the beginning. Now I have found a great Masseuse named Summer she give great massage and is always nice and speaks good english. not sure about the others but she is a keeper

I love this place. After I’ve come here a couple times I was looking to see what some of the bad reviews were about. I think people’s expectations can be a little high or misguided for what this place is about. I actually like places like this better than fancy/pricey spas. The massages in places like that seem too cautious. Here, they just give you a great, physical massage and they don’t care about working your glutes or stuff like that. They know what they’re doing and they do a great job. It’s simple, and that’s what makes it great. I love coming here. Thank you so much!

While this place may not have the most expensive decor or atmosphere, I was very pleasantly surprised by the VERY GOOD massage I received from Emily. My daughter was having a 90 minute massage at the same time I was and we were both so pleased we decided to add a foot massage at the end. The prices are very fair. I am so glad that we decided to give them a try despite other unfavorable reviews that I saw.

Every massage I’ve had here has been incredible. I especially recommend Serenity if you’re an athlete looking for deeper tissue work. They’re not afraid to move and stretch you and to really work the hamstrings and glutes – important if you run a lot (but may not be the place for you if you’re on the shy side).

Critical: CommunicationI neglected to look at the reviews, which I should have read while trying to find a place for massage. I had many of the same experiences that others have mentioned regarding language barrier, lack of draping etiquette, and awkward stretches that made me feel exposed. First of all, I did not like the fact there was no choice of preference for a male or female therapist when I booked online. I ended up with a male, which I do not prefer. There was no consult before the massage or paperwork to fill out, which was odd. It was extremely difficult to communicate with the therapist throughout the session due to the language barrier. I have had some therapists who did not speak the best English, but we were able to communicate throughout the session as needed. “Free hot stones” were advertised, but they were used in my session for 2-3 minutes. The room was cold, and the table was not heated. There was only a sheet over me, but that was not draped properly to keep me somewhat warm, and I felt exposed. I came to this place because I was in a lot of pain and wasn’t able to get a massage for about a month, which is much less often than my usual regimen. I needed one ASAP, and they had the time and day that I needed. There was some pain relief, but my upper back is bruised due to what seems to be improper techniques used. I do not recommend coming to Serenity Massage.I neglected to look at the reviews, which I should have read while trying to find a place for massage. It was a good massage, but manipulated by therapists to have 4 hands on me and less time. Was an hour instead of 80 minutes. Learn English to better communicate! This is America!

It was strange when I walked in and didn’t have to fill out any paperwork which is out of the norm. The guy left my massage multiple times without talking. I asked multiple times for less pressure and was in pain majority of the massage. I will never go back.
