That’s how I would describe my husband and my experience with Sedona, a lovely and very kind woman who appears to be in great shape in mind and body. We were looking for a massage but as others have commented, it was unlike any massage I’ve ever had! It was more about being in the moment while Sedona, with a cupped hand, struck (for lack of a better word) and kneaded my entire body. Opening up blocked channels at acupuncture sites. She could tell that my blood pressure runs on the lower side and gave me suggestions such as; your body needs to sweat, drink warm water throughout the day, yoga, belly breathing, hot shower at night and specific exercises as well as other tips.

After 5 years of caring for my elderly mom we finally had to find assisted living for her. The last year was the worst with the combination of dementia and two broken legs, she fell and broke one in July and just as it was healing well enough for her to walk unassisted she fell and broke the other one in December. As her primary care giver, the stress has been intense and self care pretty much went out the window. So after getting mom settled in a lovely facility here in Sedona, I decided to treat myself to a massage. I looked on Google for someone near the place we found for mom that had good reviews. Sedona MT came up and Nyo’s unique style sounded perfect plus she was walking distance and had openings the next day. I’ve been wanting to connect with a healer that is educated in Chinese medicine and the energy pathways of Qi. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that is exactly how she works to move stuck qi and feel where the energy is blocked, plus she explained many other aspects of the body and reflexology in the feet, hands ears and face. As she worked on me I felt the energy open up. How it works for me is an emotional release with crying and colors that I can see. The session was just what I needed, she gave me homework to practice on my own. That’s a sign of an excellent healer because the healing is truly up to the individual… The healer just facilitates with the energy. As a healer myself, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
