I have been going to Second Skin Tattoo since 2007, primarily seeing Derek. I consider myself to be heavily tattooed and I get compliments on my (Derek’s) work ALL THE TIME. I have never had an issue in or with his shop. It is an extremely clean environment with a wide array of talented artists. He only hires the best so you can feel confident walking into Second Skin and walking out with an amazing piece of art regardless of which artist applies your tattoo. Prices are on par with any other shop you’ll go into, and there are TV’s all around so you’ll have something to watch while getting tattooed. If you’re looking for a tattoo, give Second Skin your business…you won’t be let down.

I got tattooed by Charles Platt. We started a fairly large piece on my stomach. He was quick and efficient, and the tattoo is expertly applied. When I went home to wash it, I had hardly any pain in the area. His lines are literally perfect!

after waiting an hour and being looked past, I finally got a simple tragus piercing. He didn’t have a sterile receiving tool so he used a makeshift part for a tattoo gun and they didn’t have any more jewelry so he put a long eye brow ring in causing me immense pain. Had I known I would have went elsewhere. A professional should be able to say I can’t do it at this time and not care more about the payment as opposed to the care of the client.
