Always a good experience at scruffs! Upon moving to Austin I had a really hard time finding a barber I trusted with my hair that I could relate to and enjoy conversations with, hopping around trying to find the right barber was a hassle and took some time. Coming from Chicago and New York I didn’t think I would find a place that could compete and I would just have to settle which was disappointing. However gratefully, Ever since my first haircut here with Wayne I haven’t had to search anymore. Wayne always kills it with professionalism, great clipper/scissor skills and excellent conversation, truly a good guy. I’ve had multiple different visions for where I wanted to go with my hair since getting cuts here and Wayne has seen the vision and crushed it with all of them ! I feel confident and refreshed every time after leaving the shop and I usually get bombarded with compliments by all types of different people about how much they love the hair!

I’ve been going to Scruffs for a while now and I have nothing but positive things to say about the cut and my experience. Wayne gives the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten in Austin. I’d recommend him to anybody (and actually have had a few friends who started going to him – all that share the same positive sentiment). He has even helped me with styling tips and general haircare. Be sure to book ahead as slots fill up quick.

You definitely want to check out Scruff’s Barbershop. From the environment, to the workers, to the customers, to the owner, the shop is beyond welcoming and inviting. Not to mention, it’s the best cut/fade/beard trim I’ve ever had. I always walk out of their feeling good and part of a community. And, I always see Wayne – he is incredibly talented, makes you feel at home, and pays attention to every detail. He gets it right every time, and I can’t say enough great things about him!

The cut, the vibe, the skill – 100% worth the price. Wayne cut my hair and is simply wonderful. If you’re new to town and not sure where to go (that was my case), this place is certainly it. You can go here and be fully confident you’re going to get a great cut. My entire cut I didn’t have a moment of doubt that I was in good hands. Wayne takes great care, has trained extensively in his craft, and is an excellent conversationalist if you enjoy that. Judgment free environment. Didn’t rush me, and even stayed a little late to make sure he finished the cut the way we both wanted mHonestly probably the best first-haircut experience I’ve had.

I have had hair at varying lengths for years, and have always struggled to find the right person to cut it. I met Richie at a local dive and he definitely fit the bill for being cool enough, so I took a chance at letting him cut my hair. Best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve seen him cut all sorts of hair, from fades to lion’s manes, and he crushes it every time. I’ve sent a few referrals his way from transplants looking for a consistent barber, and they’ve all given him glowing reviews too. Go see my man Richie and he’ll do you up right.

Wayne is the man! First time going to Scruffs/getting my haircut in Austin and Wayne was super personable and understanding of the cut I wanted. Great environment inside the shop and barber/stylist to customer relationships. Definitely the kind of shop you want to go to.

Tim is an exceptional stylist! I’ve seen lots of people rave about their barbershop and I tried most of the places with good reviews. None compare to Tim. I’d see friends with good cuts and I’d ask where they went. Everyone kept saying “Timothy Durant”. My hair is very fine so every little cut shows and it’s a true test of the skills of any stylist. He’s building a truly professional team that I highly recommend
