Been my barber for years. Just took my 3 yr old for his first barber chair cut. Scott made him feel like an allstar and kept my sons confidence for a full cut. Great experience every time

I’ve gotten hundreds of haircuts around the world (former military) and this is the worst experience I’ve ever had in a barber chair. I visited this barbershop for the first time and left without getting a haircut due to the unprofessionalism of the owner. When I sat in the chair, the barber was unable to intelligently discuss the simple cut I wanted (about a half inch off the top and sides) and demanded that I provide him with the exact guard number for the cut. I told him I had never cut my hair in this manner, had no idea how long each guard was in inches, and asked what guard number he suggested to use. He then grew angry. I offered to produce a picture that would demonstrate what I wanted, which he refused to look at. I left after that. I’ve had my hair cut by barbers in Southeast Asia who didn’t speak English yet had a better command of hair styles than he did. I did not expect this sort of juvenile and incompetent behavior from him, given the few good reviews of this shop. But I won’t be back!

I was in town for work and looking and feeling a little shaggy because my haircuts have been few and far between during COVID. I stopped by Scott’s and although it was near closing time, he opened the door for me and gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a while, at a very reasonable price. He’s an attentive, experienced barber who will ask you what you want, and then give it to you. I’ll be back when work brings me to The Hook again.
