I initially saw her for a haircut, and I sensed immediately that she really tries to understand my needs instead of imposing her own views. I also have full trust in her when it comes to color. He is incredibly talented, yes; he is a sweetheart, yes; but in addition to his talent – what enhances his talent – is that he is an encouraging and supportive partner in the journey. He wants to hear what you want, will happily provide suggestions, and is always happy for a hair adventure. He will be honest and give it to you straight if your adventure might not be the wisest choice (starting with hair health!), but will brainstorm and strategize with you so that you have an adventure you are happy with. I first came to Michael with long dark hair and now have been sporting a fantastic platinum pixie for years (with various colors, fashion and otherwise, along the way). When I first came back after the pandemic-related hiatus we took it slow to honor what had taken so long to grown out, and I appreciated that suggestion. I also was relieved and excited when I finally got back to “me” a couple of months later.

So disrespectful… they left the dye all over my face and the stylist didn’t even check if the color was right. She also left my hair soaking wet and refused to even give me a towel. The color was completely wrong, but when I told her, she completely dismissed me and said that she didn’t have time. When I complained to the manager, they offered to let me use their blow dryer so I can blow dry my hair MYSELF. Ridiculous. Her name was Jessica btw.

Great service, my hair looks gorgeous, reasonable price for this area! Was able to book via txt – same day appointment, very convenient. Rafael was friendly and really listened to what I wanted. We talked a little about common problems I have with my hair (very long fine hair that tangles easily) and Rafa had some very helpful advice (without just pushing needless products like some salons do!) – he understood not only how to style hair but also about the chemistry and biology of hair. $80ish for a cut which I consider quite reasonable for my hair length and in this area. Will be back for a colour or gloss as they seem reasonably priced too! Thanks!
