I really dread making this review and I hope it helps the salon to improve their behaviors and knowledge of hair… Or at least to help someone like me avoid having the same traumatic experience. I’d like to start by saying I have a very good sense of humor and I like a dirty joke in the right environment.. but when the older man who owns the salon did my hair, I believe his name is Jerry, I had a very uncomfortable experience. I should have stated from the get go that I didn’t appreciate his comments, but instead I laughed uncomfortably and bit my tongue because I felt vulnerable with dye in my hair. Anytime there was no one else in the room I noticed he would look before making a comment about my body, or how there used to be women trading “services” to get their hair done. He would go “phwew! Just remembering those days” while grabbing my shoulder to “brace himself” and looking down my shirt…

I’m a 22 year old girl with thin, straight brown hair. My Dad has been going here since I was a kid, and eventually got me to let Marietta cut my hair. She really knows what she’s doing. I’ve had multiple young friends nag me to get a more ‘modern’ cut or stylist, but ‘modern ‘just means cut my hair short and make it look raggedy.’ No thanks. Marietta is consistent, with a very smooth, clean, precise touch to her work. She’s quick, accurate, and experienced. I highly recommend Scorpio’s.

Brought my lady here for a treat, they worked very hard to remove stains from her hair when she dyed it in the past. They were friendly and it felt very welcoming. My girlfriend plans on making them her only salon even though she lives 15 miles away.
