Made an appointment by phone. Alex was my barber. Asked for a high skin fade and he did a great job. No idle chit chat, just a great haircut in and out in 25min. $30 for the cut which is a good deal. Would come back again.

Best in Evanston. Not a ton of choices for barbers, admittedly, but I’ve tried them all and this is where I’ll keep going. Used to get beard and hair, now I just get a haircut. For both services they’re rock solid, quick but not rushed, and, a plus for me, not a lot of BS small talk. Not really a place to catch up on gossip or chew over the latest news, but pop in, get a sharp cut, and get out.

I made an appointment for my son. We arrived 5 minutes before our time; but there was no one at the desk, no one greeted us or asked if we had an appointment, all stylists were busy, and there were 4 people already waiting. We waited for 20 minutes and, when someone was finally done, they still didn’t say anything to us: they just took somebody else who was waiting. Why bother taking appointments at all if you’re not going to check in with customers, or if you’re going to overbook yourself? They used to be my favorite, but clearly they have more than enough customers. They lost this one.

Outstanding service all around. Larsa has such great people skills. Small talk by hair stylists is expected but the ease of conversation made you feel like you knew her for years.
