I had asked if they could do a deep conditioning treatment since I had forgotten to ask prior to the appointment and she was more than willing to get that done for me! This is the salon I would recommend above all others in the area. Andrea is an excellent hairstylist with years of experience and expertise. She is also very nice and kind. Her salon is clean, orderly, and well equipped for a plethora of procedures and treatments. Although she is limited because of her asthma, you may have to call Savannah, the other stylist, to do stronger dyes and other heavily chemical products.

I have been going to scissorhands for years. I absolutely love this salon. Will not go anywhere else. Andrea always always does a fantastic job. Color, cuts, low lights, highlights. Whatever your looking for she can do it. She listens to exactly what you want then puts her expertise to work.

The pitfalls of finding a new stylist! I had high hopes looking at the other reviews, but after getting a cut here I’m not sure I’ll be back. I have (or had) medium-length hair, several inches down my back, and I get the layers trimmed every six weeks as want it to grow longer. I asked Andrea to take off “as little as possible” and said I didn’t want it whacked. As I was a month overdue I could understand her needing to trim more than my usual 1/4″ but when I left there was 2″ of hair on the floor. She said that most of it had come off the outer layers, but when I got home I could see it was almost cut to shoulder length, with barely enough for a ponytail – and as it is curly it will draw up even more. It’s a decent enough cut in itself, shape-wise, but it wasn’t what I asked for. At this point I’m not sure if I’ll give her another chance or just continue my search for someone who listens.

Great communication will win you the best results with the stylist. If you ask for a “0” fade to the top of your head that is what you will receive. If you ask for a “0, 1, 2, 3..etc. to the top, then that is what you will get. I have 34 plus experience. I know how to do fades, flat tops, boy band, under cuts, razor cuts, slicing thinning, point cuts, traditional guys cuts, etc.
