Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI have been going to Scissors Happy for several years now. As a guy, it can be a little awkward going to a salon vs a barber shop. That is not the case with Scissor Happy. It is a very clean, well lit and fancy. I have always been treated with respect. The customer service is fantastic. Even though I only get a men’s haircut, they treat me as if I were getting a lot more done. Alicia has a great eye for style. I trust her judgment and have never been dissaponted. She treats me like a friend, not a customer. She has even been able to do a special order of shampoo for me. I have been going to Scissors Happy for several years now. As a guy, it can be a little awkward going to a salon vs a barber shop. That is not the case with Scissor Happy. It is a very clean, well lit and fancy. I have always been treated with respect. The customer service is fantastic. Even though I only get a men’s haircut, they treat me as if I were getting a lot more done. Alicia has a great eye for style. I trust her judgment and have never been dissaponted. Critical: QualityI went to scissor happy and specifically requested Brittany because I saw her reviews were so great! I wanted to go to an ashy blonde and left my first appointment with literal white hair – I wasn’t complaining too much because I loved the blonde look. I went back a few times afterwards just to get my roots done. Since I was going from a dirty blonde to an ashy blonde look I expected it to take at LEAST 3 hours from what I’ve heard of people going that light. However, I was at Scissor Happy for 5+ hours at appointments for root touch ups – which I now know was not normal. I also know that it was not normal for my scalp to burn so bad afterwards and to burn even a few days after getting it dyed. This big dye was about two years ago and ever since I have been losing hair like CRAZY – again, another thing I expected dying my hair so light, but it’s gotten to the point where my hair is half as thick as it used to be and is very frail. Luckily now I have gone back to my natural color and have vowed never to go that light again. The staff at Scissor Happy were incredibly nice, but I would never go back for any sort of hair dye needs. I’ve spoken to multiple other hair care places on going that blonde and they all say my experience did NOT go the way it should have in any shape or form. Again, everyone was so nice. I wanted to go to an ashy blonde and left my first appointment with literal white hair – I wasn’t complaining too much because I loved the blonde look. I called and told Paige what happened, she told me to come on in and she would take care of me! She went beyond what I could have imagined and stayed past close to make sure my hair was perfect! I called last minute due to another salon advised they could not help me bc whomever scheduled my appointment didn’t factor in time to complete my hair. I called and told Paige what happened, she told me to come on in and she would take care of me! She went beyond what I could have imagined and stayed past close to make sure my hair was perfect! Best highlights and cut I have gotten. 10/10
