SC4Kids was founded to provide quality hair care for parents and their children between the ages of 2 – 18. Our mission is: to partner with parents. to encourage self-esteem. to cultivate self-care in the early stages of life. to provide a home for black and multi-ethnic families in East Austin. Our motto is healthy, happy, hair therapy because it’s at the heart of our philosophy. To focus on healthy hair, happy girls and infusing our special brand of hair therapy so every one of our client’s leaves feeling better than when they came in.

I just give her her tablet so that she’s distracted and she does a great job. The ladies in the salon are so nice! Our family absolutely LOVES SC4Kids. Not only does the owner Sonja take the kids hair seriously, she is very concerned about them in general. She asks questions and talks to them and makes sure their preferences are taken into account. Scheduling may be hard but they are flexible and will really work to fit you in. The styles last and are cute. This place is a gem and if you are looking for someone to ensure your kids have healthy and cute hair, this is the spot.

We just had our first experience with Sonja and my daughter absolutely loved it! My child just turned two and we wanted to get her hair styled for her birthday. Sonja was very welcoming and made my daughter feel right at home in her salon. My daughter wasn’t scared at all and Sonja did a fantastic job with her hair. Sonja is extremely knowledgeable about hair care, especially for young girls. Sonja is such a joy to be around and truly cares, not just about hair but also about children’s self image and confidence. We will definitely be booking more appointments!

I met Sonja about 2 months ago after bringing my son to one of the talented barbers in here. I have natural hair and I’ve been natural for about 5 1/2 years and have never found the right stylist to date for my hair properly and be generous and loving!! My hair has grown and is healthy and she’s been doing it consistently for 2 months. I’ve personally watched her do kids hair and she’s the absolute BEST at what she does!!!
