I really liked this salon at first, but with each subsequent appointment I became less and less satisfied with the experience and hair cut. The stylists here seem great with long hair. Not so great with short hair. The last four or so appointments were with Peggy. My first appointment with her was great. We had a nice conversation, she was attentive, and she cut my hair well. As time went on, it seemed like Peggy was double-booked and she would bounce between two customers with the assistance of an intern. She would have the intern do things like wash and dry while she tended to the other customer. The last haircut I had felt completely rushed and was not what I asked for. I asked Peggy to adjust a few things and she seemed irritated at the request. She quickly obliged and then rushed over to the other customer. I left dissatisfied. That was the last straw for me. I really wanted to support a local, woman-owned salon but the customer experience and end product just aren’t worth the price tag.

I have been to Satori few times. I never have issues with end result when my hair is done by Peggy. Last appointment I scheduled as” first available” and the end effect did not leave an impression that I got anything done…. It was a different stylist. I was quite discouraged but reached out to the stylist the very next day. After few text exchanges and support from Peggy, I was able to get back and get my desired look. With that said it is important to see the stylist that knows your hair, your likes and your comfort level with experimenting on your own hair. Peggy was very helpful with helping the new stylist and I came out supper happy and looking 10 years younger 🙂

Although the stylist i had was very nice and friendly, I had to wait half and hour past my app time. I’ve had balayage done before at another place, unfortunaletly my stylist had to move to the mainland. Price seemed comparable to other salons so i thought i’d try it here. Well pricing is deceiving cause the high price i guess only included the the bleaching part of it. You pay extra to add in the toner color, and then extra if you want them to blow dry your hair when youre done. In all my years salons i’ve been to always included it. I couldnt imagine them wanting you to walk out with wet hair. Then when i got home i noticed on my shoulder there was toner color on it…fail. Wont be back, nor would i refer anyone

You can go online and book your appointment. There is also an app!! They are pretty busy so book in advance! On the corner, blue building. Try and park down the street for free parking otherwise there is a parking meter lot a few steps away. It’s a nice, newer spa featuring no walls. More than just hair is provided as a service. Great people and a baha feel with a splash of wine make this a great place. $$$$ out of 5 for pricing. They also sell skin and hair products.

Not impressed. I’d recommend to pay extra to get your hair done by having a specific stylist if you know someone. It was my first experience there and The person who cut my hair was pretty new and didn’t do great job and also took way too long. I think she got her first license only a few months before my appointment a few months ago. And of course it wasn’t great. She even couldn’t cut my hair symmetrical. Also I had to wait when I arrived on time because she took too long to finish the appointment before me. she was a little rude while she lets me wait.. I’m not coming back. I think the salon needs to provide a better training for new stylists.. sad I was hoping it would be my go to salon in Kailua..

I’ve been using Peggy for hair extensions for years and never had a bad experience. She listens and cares to my concerns and translates my ideas easily. She is truly a master of hair and I trust her skills and knowledge. Definitely recommend!!!
