I discovered Sato’s little barbershop during the peak of the covid pandemic and I’ve been going their ever since. Cozy, old school barbershop propped up by relaxing orchestral/classical music humming in the background. It’s just a relaxing time. Sato is awesome! Sometimes he’s reserved and sometimes he’s super conversational – I can appreciate both hot and cold versions of him. It’s a good chance to relax, get a haircut, and have an enlightening conversation with someone of Japanese descent.

Great cutter, he takes his time to cut your hair and at a very cheap rate. I wanted to keep my hair long and had him fade the inside, did an awesome job, I tried giving him more for his job but he refused to take more than what his prices are. Very generous and humble gentlemen. I will come back here to do more trimming. Thanks Sato.

Upon recently moving back to Minnesota we were in search of a new barber for my husband, a barber he can go to long-term. We asked for recommendations near us and had a younger crowd recommend places in downtown Saint Paul. None of these, from looking at their websites, were quite what we were looking for. We found Sato Barber Shop online, looked over the reviews and were impressed, we were also pleased that the business isn’t far from our home. Walking in, the shop felt like a cozy little barber shop, a place where over time you can get to know your barber and he will get to know you. My husband got his haircut and when he got in the vehicle stated “now this is a good haircut!”. He is extremely pleased with his cut and the thoroughness and attention to detail. My husband is excited that he found his new long-term barber. Thank you for the great service and cut. We will highly recommend.
