Critical: ValueSo I would like to start by saying the place itself was super cute, and the women were very nice.Now, the reason I give this salon 1 star is because it feels very much like my friends and I were taken advantage of. We were all scheduled separate and individual appoints for blowouts. This was for fun the week of one of the girl’s wedding but was not for a deemed special event. We were told that the blowouts would be $30 plus tip. Many of the girls got their hair curled, however my picture did not require curling at all, it was a big southern type blowout that just would have required some curling under with a big round brush.We were each charged $85, not including a the tip. A fee most of us did not budget for on this journey.I was shocked but the stylists ran late with everyone making the last two of us late which gave us 10 min to do our makeup and get dressed when we got back to the hotel, so we paid and left. My friend and I discussed what just happened and I double checked the website to make sure we accidentally got the quoted price wrong. The website clearly states $30 for a blowout. I called and was told because it was for a special event (which it was not) and I quote; “because we had to curl every strand” the cost is $85. I was confused and horrified that this was not discussed ahead of time with at least the girl that made the hair appointments. Like I said before.. my style did not need to be curled. I also showed my example picture to multiple girls to be sure I wasn’t crazy thinking I didn’t need to be curled and it was synonymous with everyone that my example picture was that of a classic blowout.Also, most of us felt like our hair was being pulled unnecessarily while being blow dried. Most of us weren’t totally happy with the outcome of our hair, it felt as though we could have done it for free in our own bathrooms.Maybe they do better with updos, or with less appointments in one day. I wouldn’t recommend going there unless the price is discussed and agreed upon ahead of time.Lastly, I really dislike giving bad reviews but I feel I need to warn other girls from getting ripped off. Oh not to mention, one of the other girls went for a manicure and not a blowout and her nails were not even fully painted. Critical: ValueWe went for blow outs for my rehearsal dinner. Website says $28+ for a blow out. They charged each of us $75-85 each. When one of us asked why, one of the ladies said it was because we were a bridal party and ‘they had to curl every strand of hair.’ I guess it’s my fault for saying anything about my wedding and not clarifying price first. But $85 for a blow out with some body??!? And for shoulder length hair for 2 of the ladies.The next day they charged my family members $140 for hair and makeup because they again were going to a wedding- the ‘makeup artist’ was a high school junior.Just make sure to ask pricing before you sit in the chair.Service: HairstylingWe went for blow outs for my rehearsal dinner.
