Hi I am a private salon. I have been doing hair for 18 years. I moved to palm Springs in 2020 and decided to work for myself. I believe that hair should be easy to manage. Finding a hairdresser you trust is very important. In the desert we need to learn to manage the dryness of our hair and the color. My clientele back in Boston was male and female 50-50. I went to Sarah Hewitt Salon suite last week and I was very happy with my hair. I let it grow long during the pandemic. I just did not feel safe going to a salon. That changed with Sarah’s Salon. Sarah’s Salon was clean and I received one on one attention. It’s a salon suite so I was her only client and I felt very safe. I loved my hair! I will book with her again.

I could not be more pleased with Sarah’s work. I have straight hair that shows every chop, and also gets heavy and lank, but Sarah managed to cut volume and movement in beautifully. I live abroad and recently bought a place in Palm Springs so I can spend part of the year here. I’m a 50 year-old male with very difficult hair to cut. (I don’t think I had a decent haircut until I was living in NYC in my late 20s.). I have someone I’m very loyal to in London because he always makes me look great – I don’t ever need to stress about it. But spending any time away from home becomes stressful because I start to look pretty rough after a few weeks, and local touch up cuts have never turned out particularly well. I always have to wait till I’m back in London to get it done right, and have to live with looking pretty sloppy once I’m away more than two weeks. I am extremely happy to have found Sarah here in Palm Spring because after just a few visits she is already giving me a better cut than I get at home. She listened to my needs, understood the issues, and quickly has become my primary stylist, not just my vacation back up. She also has a private salon, which eliminates all the unpleasantness of being in a loud , bright, and busy salon, which I’ve aways hated. Last, can’t forget to mentions she’s fun to talk to!
