Brought my guy for a beard trim & haircut for an upcoming wedding. The cut was great, the gal friendly and efficient. Beard trim can be improved. I think some more training may be in order… I had to touch it up when we got home. We wanted to hit up the barber shop in Santa Cruz downdown but unfortunately they (and many others) are closed Saturdays/weekends. We detoured thru Menlo Park returning to SC from SF. Would go back for haircut only.

Cecilia has been doing my cuts for, gosh, 15 years now. She is careful, has a good sense of style, and makes even my difficult (and increasingly thin, darn it) hair look and feel wonderful. Conversation is easy. There is rarely a wait. I usually call about an hour before showing up and that almost always works out.

DO NOT GO HERE! Unless you know of or were recommended to a specific barber. I walked-in last week and got the worst haircut of my life. No exaggeration. I don’t think the woman had ever cut hair before. I’ve never experience anything like it. She buzzed and snipped randomly, unevenly, and only in specific areas. It was awful, yet it still cost $21! I can’t believe I even paid for what happened….

In a nutshell – nice people, reasonable hair cut, but SUPER SLOW. Next in line behind a guy already in the chair, and getting just a cut – no wash – should not take 70 minutes. Cash only just adds to the annoyance. If I had been out of there in a reasonable time – 40 minutes, say – I’d give this place a Very Good.
