I make an annual trip with girlfriends and it would not be complete without a trip to Sanibel Day Spa for a massage. Everyone is awesome, from the owner, to the ladies at the front desk, to the massage therapist, every single time I return. A visit here truly makes my vacation so much better. My husband and I had a couple’s retreat massage, advertised as an 80 minute massage in the couples massage room. The massage itself was fine, but the description, price, and the service provided for those was less than desirable. The room was very small, barely room for us to get into the space and hang up our items. For $320 (plus $25 for deep tissue for both), we expected more of an experience, rather than just laying next to each other in silence until the end of the massage. If we come again and need a massage, we’ll save a lot of money and go separately!

The facial treatment was relaxing and left our skin smooth and hydrated! Special perks during facial included hand warmers and foot massage. The couples massage was the perfect mixture of relaxation and release of knots. Private changing rooms adorned with robes, sandals and personal lockers were clean and easy to navigate. The tranquil waiting area in between treatments offered water, snacks and a quiet space to decompress. Our therapists were Amy and Crystal. They were wonderful at making us feel comfortable and providing a massage that was both relaxing and soothing. When I tried to get directions was refused any help on how to find them other than the address. I told her I had driven all around the shopping center yesterday and could not locate their spot, all she said was there was a blue dress restaurant. I never saw a blue dress restaurant and I told her that. She simply decided to further confuse me. How rude and unprofessional can they be? She refused to help me and my experience with this type of business aggression towards new customers is that it only gets worse. I go to a spa for health reasons and to help relax. If a “health spa” has policies that leave me feeling stressed out just making the appointment I can only imagine what I would feel like if I went in person. Very nice lady greeted me at the counter. Big smile! My Massage Therapist was outstanding! Very focused and could tell when to increase or decrease pressure as well as targeting a couple problems I had. Great very professional experience!

My mom and I went here for deep tissue massages while on vacation. Mine was alright, though was more relaxing than deep tissue; definitely not worth $110. And my masseuse used gloves which I could hear and smell. My mom’s experience was very unsatisfactory (she said her masseuse was very repetitive, uneven, and used too much lotion). The spa did discount her massage 50%. Overall disappointing. I would probably not go back due to the lack of quality for the price.
