Blatant disregard of my instructions and poor execution of hair cut. I have been to Sam 4 times. You start to think if you pay $120 for a hair cut and tip $20 on top of that, perhaps your hair dresser would eventually listen to you. This time I made it very very clear to not cut my hair and to only trim. That I was growing it long. I have been paying for Biotin and Folic Acid shots along with various topicals after his last chop in February 2021. I said it a few times to not cut my hair. My hair did not have any split ends. I told him that it was important that I have my hair long for my life style. Sam chops my hair off and leaves me with a rats tail. Then he tries to sell it on me that I have the “Illusion of long hair” That is what he said. You know what has the illusion of long hair Sam…. LONG HAIR. These photos are from 11 weeks after my haircut. I lived with it in a bun and pony tail because I was so upset. On top if it, my hair is uneven, you can see in the photos that my left side is much shorter than the right. I decided to write this review when I contacted the Salon of my disappointment and I was given a note stating “we are sorry you were unhappy with your stylist, take care” . No interest at all to make this right

What a wonderful day I had yesterday! I had an appointment with Sam Wong at Sam Wong Salon in Frederick, MD. My first impression — WOW! Walking into the salon automatically lowered my blood pressure. The salon is beautiful and calming, with soft colors all around. And my favorite beauty shop perk? Cleanliness! The place looked like it was ready for a magazine shoot. Very impressive.

I arrived early but she let me in as soon as she arrived and we got started right away. I was very impressed with how safe their procedures were (requiring temp check and sanitizer when you walk in) and Hope was very friendly! It definitely helped to ease my concerns seeing how serious they are about keeping their customers and staff safe.The place is also just gorgeous on the inside, very clean, and well kept. Their products are fully natural and they smell amazing, which is another plus of going. It is well worth the price.I got a balayage and Hope worked with me to figure out exactly what I was looking for and did a fantastic job. I love how it turned out so much!! I just wish my hair had lightened a little bit more ;). I recently had a wonderful experience with Hope at Sam Wong Salon! I arrived early but she let me in as soon as she arrived and we got started right away. I was very impressed with how safe their procedures were (requiring temp check and sanitizer when you walk in) and Hope was very friendly! I LOVE this salon. I recently had my first visit. I saw Hope who reached out to me prior to my appointment and was super open to helping me achieve my hair goals! She was absolutely wonderful and I could not be happier with the result— I got exactly what asked for. She made the experience really comfortable and easy. Such a wonderful & peaceful place. I love the atmosphere. It is so refreshing & relaxing there. My wonderful stylist is Suzi. She’s very experienced- went to a great Paul Mitchell cosmetology school & is always going to NYC or LA for continuing education. She knows how to cut & color in all the latest styles. I can trust her to do what’s right for me. They use all natural products at SW salon which not only is safe for my hair but great for the environment as well. Treat yourself…you’ll be happy you did.

So, this is a first time in over 20 years, that I can honestly say that I love my new haircut. Sarah was amazing. She sat with me and discussed my hair type and options for cutting. Since my hair is very naturally curly and coarse dry like texture, not as easy of a task as you may think. I can’t wait to go back in 6 weeks to see what she can do with my color. Krista did such an incredible job fixing a butcher chop I got. I absolutely LOVE what she did. The atmosphere and vibe of the salon is perfect. Very relaxing and soothing. The hair washi is a spa quality massage and their products all smell divine. 10/10 I found my new stylist.
