I had been going to Sam’s Salon for a while because my mom also went there. But since I have more textured hair than my mom, my experiences were often less satisfactory. The last time I went to Sam’s Salon, I prepared by taking out my braids and moisturizing and detangling the whole day. So when I actually went, my hair was easy to comb through and ready to be washed. Sam washed my hair and ended up tangling it into a mess (I didn’t realize until they were finished). When they went to blowdry it, they were perfectly happy to comb through the tangled mess and rip out any knots they found. When I stopped them and told they couldn’t rip my hair like that, they told me I had come in like that. I ended up having to go to an old family friend who picked out their knots for 3 hours.

I have natural 3c 4a color treated hair and I went to sams salon because a friend recommended it. They were really quick and I love love loved the deep condition that they did. My hair has never felt so soft, I wasn’t to buy it off of them lol. My blow out was great, I was left with no heat damage and when they trimmed it they actually trimmed it. They didn’t take off 3 inches, they dusted my hair and it looked fabulous. Id definitely recommend.

sam did my moms hair all wrong. she asked for a specific color and he did not proceed to do it. he would talk back to my mom and make rude comments. he also tried to charge my mom for a full head of highlights when she got a partial. I would not recommend this place at ALL. go somewhere where they will charge you the right amount of money and they will be kinder.
