This is by far the BEST hair studio in town! Jessie is amazing and I’ve never had better hair in my life! I am so picky about who does my hair and I used to drive to Pensacola until I discovered Jessie! I know people who drive hours to see her. The salon itself is gorgeous and has amazing ambience inside. Everyone is so friendly and sometimes I wish I could stay all day! Whether you need hair extensions, lashes, color, or a haircut, you won’t regret it!

Salt + Wave Studio has gained me as a client forever! I got my hair colored & cut by Bailey recently and i’m obsessed with my results. My hair was in desperate need for an upgrade. I wanted something subtle but with dimension at the same time. It’s clear that Bailey nailed exactly that! I had an extremely poor experience here. My stylist was 30 minutes late for my appointment (was coloring someone else’s hair while cutting mine). I don’t appreciate double bookings or lateness when I am on time. Not only that, she wanted to cut my hair dry. I asked her to wash it first in which she begrudgingly did (leaving half my hair unwashed and dry underneath still). She then asked me repeatedly to thin out my hair which I did not want. There are only so many ways to politely say no. Not only that, she was silent pretty much the entire time. I’ve never had a hair dresser who was less interesting and that didn’t even attempt to have a conversation. For $65 I expect at least my slotted appointment time and attention to what I’m asking for.

It is always nerve wracking trying to find someone new, but Bailey and I got paired together by chance with our schedules. Bailey has done a Brazilian Blowout for me, and I have seen her three times in my short time living in Destin for highlights. I previously had grown my hair out and kept it dark for years to keep it super healthy, but Bailey safely gave me a beautiful light color and my hair still feels amazing. She is a perfectionist, so sweet, and extremely talented. I’m sad to be moving away again as I was looking forward to our hair journey together, but I would recommend her luxury services to anyone! Lash Extensions:Additionally, I also get my lashes done by Jess who has her home base at Salt + Wave Salon. She does an amazing job on my lashes and gives me the beautiful fluffy look that I love. She is amazing at what she does, flexible, fun to chat with, and always keeps the health of your lashes as her top priority. I’m sad to also be leaving here soon (you really develop a bond with your lash artist seeing them religiously every two weeks!), but am grateful I found her also by chance through Instagram!
