Excellent high and tight everytime!EVERY TIME!!! The barbers and I mean every single one here are very humble. It’s awesome when you can talk about your day with them. They remember your conversations on the last cut you had and can carry on from there. It’s not about the money with these guys. They love doing what they do. It feels like home away from home. Highly recommend

This was my first visit to Sal’s. My Father went there for the last few years. He passed away recently and I came from Florida to handle his estate. After a month I was looking pretty shaggy so my first option was Sal’s.

Rolled right in when they opened, great military haircut just in time for drill, in and out in 15- 20 minutes.

The kind of place where the barbers greet regulars by name. Never had a place do neckline with a straight razor before this. Best haircut place I’ve been too before.

Great prices on cuts and quality service i went the first time today with my son and we had our cuts done by the owner sal who was very friendly and very professional . I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and will definitely go again. also after some conversation with the owner he has alot of experience working with individuals with disabilities so if your looking for a place where your family member might be comfortable at this is the place to go .

Extremely friendly and professional. Definitely where I’ll be going from now on. Important note is that it’s cash only but great prices.

Always a good hair cut and the cheapest around, would highly recommend them to anyone, $16 a cut is a lot cheaper than most places around…

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueWent in for a haircut. Explained to sal himself what I wanted done. Ended up making me look like a clown. Uneven front, sideburns altered without asking and uneven. Trimmed too far out from the right ear and thinned sideburn to just a line. I do not recommend his haircuts or business to anyone who cares how they look.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueI have to say, I almost never leave actual reviews for businesses, particularly what I presume to be locally-owned, non-corporate ones, but being a small business doesn’t excuse terrible quality. I received a haircut at Sal’s. I was a first time customer, as my usual barber shop is in New Hartford, and I didn’t feel like driving all the way there that day, and the reviews for this place in particular were overwhelming positive. My experience WAS NOT. My barber seemed incredibly nervous and inexperienced (he was the only one there at the time and the waiting area was full of people by the time I left the chair), and gave me what is arguably one of the lowest-quality haircuts I’ve ever gotten. I would completely understand if I’d gone to an establishment where fledgling barbers were honing their skills, and I could allow myself to be practiced on for a discount, but come on, I went into this experience expecting something a little better than a SuperCuts, given the reviews, and I left wishing I’d simply continued to deal with my hair at the length it was. Genuine disappointment on my part.Long story short, hair grows back, I only have to wait a few weeks to purge the incompetence of Sal’s Barber Shop from my scalp. That being said, I’m writing this due to the 5-star rating this place has for some reason. If I can save even one person the terrible haircut I was given, it was worth writing this diatribe.I have to say, I almost never leave actual reviews for businesses, particularly what I presume to be locally-owned, non-corporate ones, but being a small business doesn’t excuse terrible quality.
