Critical: Professionalism, QualityI requested a Balayage and my hair is looking worse than ever. I had a brown color in my hair and I was hoping the Balayage would blend all of the colors together in a pretty way, however, my hair looks worse now. The worst part of the story is that I tried coming back to the salon to see what could be done to fix it and because it clearly is not the right technique done, their response was that the stylist decides what technique they use to lift the hair and they wouldn’t do anything to fix it other than me scheduling another appointment an paying a whole new service to fix it. My stylist was Brittany Fawell and I also talked to who they said was one of the managers, Marissa but they were not helpful at all. I have kept my hair in a ponytail since then because of how bad it looks. I understand that lifting the hair color can take multiple sessions to not damage the hair but it is not even about the color, it is about the awful technique that was used. $300 completely waisted. Being new to Chicago I decided to get my hair done here because of the great reviews I read but only to leave completely disappointed to the point of crying. I requested a Balayage and my hair is looking worse than ever. I had a brown color in my hair and I was hoping the Balayage would blend all of the colors together in a pretty way, however, my hair looks worse now. I’ve been a blonde for a few years now and have seen multiple people for maintenance, trying different approaches with highlights and balayages. Mariah not only taught me about my hair but showed me how beautiful it can be if treated properly. Her cut and style was amazing and her color was perfection. I wish I had found her sooner but I’m glad I’m in good hands now. The salon was super sleek, modern and all of the staff members on the floor were very nice and accommodating. I was blown away at my appointment with Mariah and could not recommend her enough! I’ve been a blonde for a few years now and have seen multiple people for maintenance, trying different approaches with highlights and balayages. Mariah not only taught me about my hair but showed me how beautiful it can be if treated properly. Her cut and style was amazing and her color was perfection.
