After several bad experiences with my previous hairstylist, I went in search for someone new. I wasn’t having much luck finding someone who was not only great, but consistent. After doing a random google search one day, I came across Laurie’s website. Skeptical at first, something told me to give it a try. I am beyond happy that I did. 1st impression was amazing. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. It felt like I was talking to a friend that I hadn’t seen in years. Laurie got me right for Mother’s Day. My first appointment was for crochet braids, then I came back a few days later for an eyebrow tint. Flexible and easy to work with. I have already booked in advance. Worth the price and time. Book your appointment. You will not be disappointed.

There is literally nothing but positives I can say about Laurie! She did my wedding including the entire bridal party 6 people hair and makeup by herself (all different hair types to match our varying ethnicities and skin tones), and everyone who encountered her remarked on how professional and kind she was and how amazing we all looked. From planning & booking, to delivery of services she was A++ and I will recommend to anyone in the KC metro area. Black women who need someone with knowledge on natural hair this is the place!

Critical: Professionalism, PunctualityI am really disappointed in the scheduling process. I followed all the requirements for the booking process. Even booked a week in advance, only because of my availability. I received a message via text the day before my scheduled appt, to remind me of a appt that apparently got rescheduled to a different date and time. I still showed up to the appt that I set, to not get an answer and the doors to be locked. If the hours of operations is different then what’s posted online, maybe someone should take the time to fix it.
