Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI moved to VA about 2 years ago. Found this business through a Google search and decided to give it a try because of the reviews. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences at salons and was really hoping this would be it. And yes it was! Omaira was everything I needed from a stylist. She explained everything that she could do with my hair and provided me with real options that would give me the real results I needed. She knows what she does and it shows! I moved to VA about 2 years ago. Found this business through a Google search and decided to give it a try because of the reviews. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences at salons and was really hoping this would be it. And yes it was! Omaira was everything I needed from a stylist. She explained everything that she could do with my hair and provided me with real options that would give me the real results I needed. She knows what she does and it shows! The staff is amazing here!! Victoria has been doing my hair for years and makes me feel so beautiful when she does it. I have long hair, but it’s a little thin so I’ve added some extensions for thickness ! Victoria colors my roots, trims my hair and does a awesome job with my extensions! Highly recommend her if you want the best!

My first experience here was with the owner. She was very sweet. However, I feel she and her staff are not up to par with some of the advanced techniques that a salon like them should be providing. I knew right away she didn’t understand the concept of balayage. Which is a free-style way of highlighting. My second appointment I had, I was called three separate times to push my appointment back because they got busy, which meant my appointment was pushed back two hours. Calling a client once, I can understand, but three times is just unprofessional. The lady who did my hair was sweet but right away I could see her lack of confidence and experience. I was left not happy with the color and found blue toner in my hair. They were gracious about fixing it, but again when I went in to have it re-done, I was not left happy. Being sweet to your costumers is great but having stylists that seem to vary in experience does not bring this salon together. Especially for blondes. If you’re looking for a stylist here that knows color well, I would look elsewhere, because you won’t find it here.

As anyone knows, it’s hard to find a place that you can trust with your hair. Becca, my stylist of choice, is always the best. She is super friendly, open to ideas and suggestions, and will do what it takes to make sure you are absolutely happy with your hair when you leave. If not, she’ll make it right. Every time I’ve come here, I was happy with the staff’s friendliness and their abilities but Becca’s fun and colorful personality make it fun to come here so please ask for Becca when you come and you won’t be disappointed!!

I have been to Salon Vie several times to have my hair done by different stylists and all I can say is that a place of business should stay professional at all times. High school drama should be kept out of the work place and to refuse service and ban a person because you dislike the friends one has is extremely sad when trying to run a successful business, so if you are looking for a place that is professional and won’t ban you from the jump because you may have friends that the staff may dislike for their own personal reasons I would look someplace else. That is very poor business ethic.

I LoVE BECCA … She is such a refreshing and awesome stylist. Very knowledgeable and tells you steps when it comes to coloring hair. It is a skill to go from completely brown to blonde… And not look brassy or orange! She even let me come back to do some touch ups and did a FABULOUS job! I could go on forever… Great place and I am very picky, so I hope this review helps any and everyone! Thanks Becca 🙂 oh, and they do brows and waxing that doesn’t hurt!
