Kailey gave me my first ever Deva cut and I am in LOVE. She was great, coached me through doing my hair so I’ve actually been able to replicate it at home (that never happens!!), and was just very kind. She made me comfortable, and the cut changed my life. I really have been debating chemical straightening, so this was huge. I’m very happy with it all – they’re a very nice salon, the price is going to be expensive, but the cost was worth it to me. People who can cut curly hair are few and far between.

Nate is such a creative and skilled artist. I have been going to salons and doing my hair for years and I’ve never met someone as talented and experienced as Nate. His vision is exceptional. When he was attended cosmetology school I watched as client after client said the same thing. I am only letting Nate do my hair from here on out! I stumbled upon Salon Vici after horrible experiences at other places. To say I was nervous to get my hair done again was an understatement! But Nate took care of me! I first came to him for a haircut which he executed phenomenally, and listened to my concerns about having thinner hair. He suggested extensions and while I hesitant at first he made sure I had all the information and made the extension process easy! He absolutely killed it and I’ve never been more confident in myself and my hair until I walked into this salon. If I could give more than 5 stars to the salon and Nate I would!

I won’t go into huge detail, but it was pretty bad. Upon showing the owner these pictures, I was gaslighted. She told me it looked like heat damage, but she’s never seen hair look like that unless it was from lightener. Huh? This was also only 2 days after the color was done. They don’t do refunds even though I paid $450 and spent 4 hours at the salon for this. The haircut and color were the worst I’ve ever had. Bleach was left on my head for an HOUR without reapplication or anything. Just say under a dryer with foils in my hair for an hour. Their haircut took all of 3 minutes, and I had to redo it myself right when I got home. There were two inch chunks of hair hanging past the perimeter of my hair all over my head. Im just glad they didn’t touch my bangs. I cannot believe this was done by a professional salon. They offered to fix it, but I just fixed it myself because i got sick, thought about it and I just didn’t trust it. So I spent another $200 for supplies and six hours of my personal time to fix their mistakes. Much better now. Thanks to myself. Probably should’ve just done that in the first place.

Went for a root touch up. Told stylist match my natural color just to cover greys/ whites. Was given a much darker color than my natural hair color. Called the next day to have it adjusted and stylist was argumentative and kept gaslighting me saying she matched my natural color.

To think I could find my newest best stylist in my first try choice after moving here? I am beyond pleased with Luke. I admit I was concerned, small shop, away from big city, who knew. All gushing aside Luke spent few minutes talking, actually I did most of talking. Then bam, off he went coloring, blond no less,,and cut to exact what I wanted,. Seriously, if you love looking and feeling good, call and see if I’m not wrong about this!

This trendy little Salon in West Des Moines is wonderful. The staff is curtious and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going to see Lucas! He is the absolute best and will have you walking out that door looking and feeling fabulous!
