Critical: Professionalism, QualityLast time I got my hair done I requested low lights and highlights and the color bleed together and I walked out of the salon grey trying not to cry until I got into my car, and had to wait a week or two (can’t remember) before I could get back in and I was mortified I had to go to work like that. Once the salons opened I couldn’t get an appointment in June. I understood they were over booked and everyone wanted in but even willing to wait no appointment date was offered. Fast forward to this past month. I made an appointment nearly 4 weeks in advanced. I confirmed my appointment via text several times and then got cancelled on the day before. I was told only the afternoon clients were getting cancelled on, and I wanted to see if I could move my appointment up to the morning. The receptionist said she would see if it’s possible and call me back. Hours went by and I never got a call back. When I called I was told the receptionist went home for the day. The person I was speaking with told me an earlier day appointment wouldn’t be possible. I was asking for the next available appointment day or how soon I could get in, and the day shift receptionist told me that Stacie was booked out over a month in advanced and it was so far out she wouldn’t even give me a possible day to reschedule to after I had already waited most 4 weeks. I was a customer for many years and followed her from her old salon. I told the receptionist I wasn’t going to come back, and I get they probably don’t care, but I’m the third person that I know who has stopped going after years of being a loyal customer. I wasn’t a Karen, I was flexible, bought the recommended products, never complained, and even offered to pay when she corrected my hair color, and always tipped well. Awesome salon experience, I needed a change from my salon routine and found Salon Tress after moving to Walled Lake. I made my appointment with Becca and went with her suggestions for the change I was looking for. She is a real artist, she took her time with me and I simply love the end result. The salon is friendly, comfortable, convenient for my work schedule and reasonably priced for the great service I received.

When my friend got married like two months ago she reserved this place for us to get our hair done. It was great since the moment we walked in they had our names and had everything ready to go as well as appetizers for us to enjoy. All the ladies that worked with us were very nice. First I received an uneven cut. I gave the stylist a chance to correct it and it was still lopsided. I asked for balayage and was very upfront about when my hair was last colored and what was used (Kenra not box dye.) I am not upset about the warmth I knew that was a possibility with my hair being dark. My issue is the placement of the balayage. It was strange and very uneven. One side completely different than the other. Also the color was uneven, patchy, and trashy looking. She styled it cute and I didn’t discover what a disaster I had until I washed my hair. I spent 5 hours at another salon to get this corrected and had to have 2 more inches cut off my hair. I did contact the salon but all they could offer me was a discount on future services. Um yeah NO THANKS! My purpose of this review is not to be malicious. If I can prevent even one other person from this nightmare then it has served its purpose.
