COMPLETE RIP OFF! My sixteen year old daughter wanted your average, basic highlights, nothing fancy. She’s had them many times before, as well as I, so we were accustomed to the “going rate”. I use a rather upscale salon, but my daughter was in a pinch to get her hair done before prom. Unfortunately she ended up here. They charged this poor child $260 for highlights!! TWO HUNDRED SIXTY DOLLARS!!! I’ve been getting my highlights done my entire adult life at some of the best salons there are, and I’ve NEVER come close to paying that. That stylist saw a naive sixteen year old coming a mile away. SHAME ON YOU!! Zero stars.

I just visited Salon Thirty-one in Fairhope for the first time, specifically to try Joy, an Aveda trained stylist that I’ve been hearing rave reviews about around town. I have thick hair with several different wave patterns. It is common for stylists to find cutting my hair challenging. I’ve had consistent great results with Aveda schooled stylists. I learned that not only did Joy receive her training from Aveda, she also is an Aveda instructor, which made me even more excited to see her. She did an amazing job on cutting and styling my hair, as well as selecting the perfect hair products that meet my specific needs. I am so pleased. If you want to try a great new stylist, see Joy. You will be so happy you did.

Positive: QualityJoel is the best hair colorist I’ve had in the 25 years that I’ve been coloring my hair. My daughter and I have been using him for the last 8 years at least.
