Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueBeen here a few times. Have had decent luck a few times, more with color vs cut. Tried the more expensive diva cut which did absolutely no aid to my curls. This time I ask for NO red in my hair and also for the front to be longer than the back. My hair is now a reddish brown with orange highlights and the hair is a one length bob. When you have short curly hair a bob looks awful!! Especially when your color is completely not what you asked for. Emanuella got on the phone, was extremely defensive and rude to me. She kept saying that it’s not her fault that i am not happy with my hair. It’s not her fault? 3 plus hours out of my day, plus drive time and 200+ dollars and it’s my fault? I’ve never had a stylist be so unprofessional and rude to me. Accidents happen. All i wanted was it corrected. Not to be mistreated. Im already miserable every time i look in the mirror because my hair looks TERRIBLE. (I had better luck with the FREE covid cut I received in my kitchen from an ex-stylist that hasnt been professional in 15 years!!) Im not going to let Emanuella ruin my day too. I do NOT recommend this salon or Emanuella as a stylist. She doesn’t listen to what you actually want…and wont correct it when it’s not nearly close to what you asked for. 1 star for me because she is a human being. Been here a few times. Have had decent luck a few times, more with color vs cut. Tried the more expensive diva cut which did absolutely no aid to my curls. I needed a fresh new look and not only did she deliver that with beautiful color and cut, but she did so with a fun attitude and easy going demeanor. I left feeling like a new lady. I needed a fresh new look and not only did she deliver that with beautiful color and cut, but she did so with a fun attitude and easy going demeanor. I left feeling like a new lady. Critical: QualityI got a Deva cut from Emanuela mid-January. I have tried a handful of times to put this review on Devacurl’s site, but I have been unsuccessful. Unfortunately the cut I received was not a true Deva cut. For some hair types the cut I received might be amazing, but for my hair type it has been a disaster. She used a technique where she slid the blade of the scissors down the length of the curl. My curls have not been the same since this cut. I’ve had insane frizz, my curls won’t clump like they used to, my hair feels weightless, and my hair was insanely itchy on my neck. I actually had to go to another stylist a few weeks later to get some relief from the itching. I’m now waiting for this cut to grow out and doing my best to manage the frizz until then.
