A poorly run business. I called and made an appointment 5 weeks ago for a cut & color and took the first available appointment. I was then called the day before my appointment by the stylist and was told that my appointment was cancelled because they were relocating to a new location and the new place was not ready. I asked to speak to the owners and did not get a call. If the owners were following their business properly, they should have know well before a day in advance that the new place was not on target to open on time. Terrible costumer service!

Called in to see about availability for bridal party hair. Very unprofessional about explaining to me why they were booked up. “We already have a bride for that morning, so…” Long pause and I say, “What about the afternoon?”. “I have appointments all afternoon, so….” Long pause until I say, “So you don’t have any room?” “No.” How about saying, “Unfortunately, we are booked for the day. I’m sorry we can’t help you.”

I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Clean, bright enviroment, courteous owners and front desk with the best stylist in Grand Forks. I have been seeing Kaylene for over 6 years and have never been disappointed with a hair cut or color. If she is unavailable I will go to anyone of the other girls.

This salon looks high end when you go in and walk around but the service is anything but. I have been here 3 times. The first experience was a good experience. The front desk person was friendly and welcoming, and my styleist was professional and personable. The atmosphere was NOT relaxing like a spa or salon should be. It was cold and uncomfortable. The second and third time I came were nightmares. The front desk girl was friendly and polite when I came in, but my styleist was very quiet. It was awkward.I brought a photo of what I wanted done. When we got to the washing station I asked how my color looked and she said “Well you cant tell until we blow dry it so dont freak out”. It was horrible. I left in tears and set another appt to fix it. I came back to have it fixed and the styleist was much nicer this time. She really was a nice woman,maybe she just had a bad day the first time. Anyways I left with yellow and purple in my hair. It was ruined. I called 4 times to speak to Caroline (or Carol?) the owner. I called when they first opened and waited until after 5pm. Each time she was too busy to talk and never returned my calls. I ended up just asking for my money to be refunded so I could go to Avant and have my hair fixed. They refunded it over the phone and I did have my hair fixed. Its very damaged now and was a nightmare to fix. It was embarrassing to leave the salon with my hair looking like that when Seva messed up. The owner seemed irritated that I had complained to her, and said it wasnt the styleists fault my hair came out that color – she said something about it being my body chemistry. Either way, I felt that the owner was rude and dismissive to my concerns and I can not believe she allowed me to walk out of the salon with my hair the way it was. I would not go there for color ever again. I know they also do waxing, massage, and a few other services. I cant speak on those. I am giving two stars, because the first time I went there I had a good experience.

The service is decent and the staff are nice but to get in contact with them is impossible. I have been calling multiple times a day for5 days to book an eyelash extensions and they do not answer. Once you FINALLY book an appointment, they cancel appointments on you constantly.

HIGH PRICES AND HORRIBLE OWNERS! Not sure how much longer they will stay in business with the way they treat their employees. They should be ashamed of how they act and treat their staff. Good thing karma always comes around to give people what they deserve. I will NEVER EVER go back to this salon.

I am not sure why people complain about this place. I have had nothing but excellent service, and I’ve been coming here for many years. The prices might have gone up, but any business owner will tell you that the overhead is very high and prices do go up. The owners are very nice, as is the staff. So not sure if people writing bad reviews are related to other salons.
