Critical: ProfessionalismI’m honestly very angry right now. I have visited this salon multiple times, and really enjoyed my experience. I’ve even recommended this salon to friends who now come here. Never again. I called in the other day to ask for the earliest appointment I could get, my fifth anniversary was this Friday and I wanted to try and spruce up, as I haven’t felt very good about myself since having my third child. Whoever I spoke with said that the earliest appointment they had was at 4:15 on Friday, I said that worked. They asked what service I needed, I said just a simple cut. The asked if I wanted conditioning treatment, I said sure, why not? It’s a special occasion after all. They said “great, see you Friday!” That was it. Today I walked in the door of the salon at exactly 4:15 pm, I told the woman at the front counter my name, and that I had a service scheduled at 4:15. She asked for my name again, then my last name. Made a face and said, “Oh, your appointment was for 4pm. Unfortunately since you’re late she started on another customer.” I said “that can’t be right, she clearly told me 4:15 over the phone? She said it was the earliest they had an appointment!” Three woman responded “Well yes, your cut appointment is for 4:15, but since you’re getting conditioning treatment you have to be here for 4 pm” “She didn’t tell me that over the phone, I don’t understand? This is really important, I’m getting this done because today is my anniversary.” I replied. She asked if I had received the text alert of my appointment – I had not – and then said she would go check if anyone else was available, and quickly returned to inform me that unfortunately “no one else was available, but that if I could come back at 7pm they might be able to fit me in.” She then emphasized once again in a tone of voice and expression that clearly inferred this was my fault, that I missed my appointment at 4pm, and there was nothing they could do. I double checked my text messages, and even called my husband to check his text messages just in case they had my old number on file; we absolutely did not receive any text alert about my appointment. Not to mention after placing my appointment the day prior, I immediately went in my phone and set up a reminder with the day and time, so I would not forget. 4:15. I am furious, and I will not be coming to those salon or recommending it again. Unfortunately it’s too late to find anywhere else to do my hair before my anniversary date with husband.Services: Hairstyling, HaircutI’m honestly very angry right now.
