Critical: ProfessionalismI never do negative reviews but this one I’m writing with tears in my eyes. I went there for a top head highlight. I showed them the color I want as I have been doing this color for a few years. They agreed to do this. In the middle of the process, they have told me that the time it takes for this process is longer than expected. My hair usually took 2h to be done. They took 4h30 but the result was uneven. I left after three failed attempt to bleach my hair with a promise that it will be alright. I don’t know what to do with my hair. My head skin is too sensitive and painful. The hair looks uneven and perished. If I haven’t done it before, I would be like ok, my hair didn’t bear the process. But after few years of doing it, I know simply they didn’t know how to do this and they didn’t want to turn me down.From a cost point of view, initially they have quoted me for $105. In the middle of the process they have informed me that this process cost more than anticipated. However, they honored the initial quote and as an act of courtesy, I paid $100 for the tip. Last time that I have done the same process in a different salon in Wilmington, it had cost me about $120 ( it took them 2h). I respect Salon Reyna for being nice and honoring the quote they have gave me. I understand that they did what they could. But from my perspective they are not professionals. I think a professional hair colorist, could give the right quote from the beginning and deliver what was promised.***************************************************************************Respond to the owner:I appreciate the time you took to respond to this review. However, I stand by my point that as professionals, you could have given me the right price at the beginning, and deliver the promised result. I showed a picture of myself with the hair color I wanted which was the outcome of one of the prior times I have done this process. The image perfectly showed that I want the full top head and I want it fully blonde. I believe I was clear from the start. The way you portrayed the event is as if I received a bad outcome because I wanted to pay less. Which was not the case, if it was a full highlight you could have tell me. I don’t mind paying extra as I eventually did to value the time your stylist spend on my case, but I am unhappy with the customer service and the color I have received. I am already scheduled to receive treatment to repair some of the damage. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value7/1/22- Had highlights on my own hair a few days ago with Alex; he did a fabulous job and I LOVE my hair! Fully recommend both Marty AND Alex!!I brought my mom here to clean up the many previous box color she’d been using and to color hair for gray coverage. She was able to spend her bday with me last minute and I wanted to have her feel her best by getting her hair fixed. Marty and the salon owner, and the young lady at the counter accomadated us and Marty did a fantastic job. My mom felt rejuvenated with her new hair and she was ablw to enjoy photos with her grandkids. Marty is a true professional and was very precise with his work.
