Positive: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI never leave reviews but I felt like I needed to. I haven’t been to a hair salon in years! I’m talking like 5 or more years because I was so scared of all the haircut horror stories and I loved my long hair. But I really wanted layers. I was afraid if I went they would cut off all my length and make the layers look choppy. But I finally took the risk and went to this salon. I showed the lady exactly what I wanted and kept repeating that I wanted to keep as much length as possible with layers. She was so understanding and professional about it. She asked me questions about how short was too short and when she was done I still had lots of length in my hair with well blended layers. For someone who was so scared to go to the hairdresser she calmed all my fears. Will definitely go back! I never leave reviews but I felt like I needed to. I haven’t been to a hair salon in years! I’m talking like 5 or more years because I was so scared of all the haircut horror stories and I loved my long hair. But I really wanted layers. Critical: Professionalism, ValueI was denied service completely by Sheri because I am transgender. I’ve been going to this exact salon since I was a kid, getting the phone call from my hair dresser who watched me grow up saying she can’t “support my decision” or “let that happen” in her salon hurt and disgusted me. Not only was the decision she made to deny me of service hateful, it is also illegal. It is considered discrimination in Washington State (RW 49.60.030) I will not go forward with any legal threats, but I would like a formal apology. I was denied service completely by Sheri because I am transgender. I’ve been going to this exact salon since I was a kid, getting the phone call from my hair dresser who watched me grow up saying she can’t “support my decision” or “let that happen” in her salon hurt and disgusted me. Not only was the decision she made to deny me of service hateful, it is also illegal.
