I’m currently a salon manager at a nearby salon and My district leader and I went out to make connections with salons near me. My day was going great until I walked into this salon. Two guys and a lady were sitting down having a laughing, knee slapping conversation and barely looked up to acknowledge we were there. Common sense and good customer service would assume that the associates would stop their conversation and acknowledge a potential custom but instead the lady held up her finger and told us to “hold on a sec” as they finished their conversation and jokes with each other. We stood there like deer in headlights and being patient with them. I’m not even sure if we got to have a real conversation because they NEVER stood up to acknowledge us or make us feel welcome. We didn’t Exchange cards, a hand shake, or a thanks for stopping by. All I remember is “He ain’t working for nobody else”. All I wanted was to connect with local salons and this one was my only disappointment of the day.
