After 4.5 hrs and $175 later I was disgusted. I cried all night and wore hat the next few days. I was told if I came back and paid more $ she would fix it. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to go and have May do their hair. Hairstyling

Salon Metaxa deserves high marks especially since Joy Keith has her salon there! Joy is the most outstanding hairdresser I have ever encountered. I call her the hair doctor and for good reason. When I first moved to NC I was in dire need of a great hairdresser….someone who knew how to care for fine, thin hair. I tried several salons only to have them over process my hair which caused it to fall out and become dry and brittle. I looked a mess! I found that person at Salon Metaxa! With Joy’s expertise and experience, my hair is now healthy, beautiful, soft, and luxurious. If you suffer from anxiety every time you get your hair done I highly recommend Joy Keith at Salon Metaxa. Discrimination is present here. This is not a culturally diverse salon. My stylist came here from Charlotte to work. When I first walked in the front staff stared at me without greeting. My stylist greeted me and started my session. The entire time I got awkward looks from the other employees and the owner came and talked to her about complaints from other stylist during my session. I felt completely uncomfortable. I will not have to go back because my stylist was terminated from her station because the other stylist didn’t like the “smell” of her ethnic “products”.
