Since May of 2009, Salon MACKK continues to provide the ultimate salon experience for each guest. The cozy yet modern atmosphere delivers a relaxing and comfortable setting for all your beauty needs. We LOVE the people of Crystal Lake! Our favorite aspect of our business is to return the support we have received and participate in as much charity work as we can. Giving back to our community that has given us so much is very important to us. Anything from hosting our ouwn Cut-A-Thons for various organizations to donating gift cards and baskets for events. I cannot say enough great things about this salon and my stylist Sara! When my last stylist moved away from another salon I set out to find a new place to go. I tried a few but they just weren’t a good fit. Then I went to Salon Mackk based on some recommendations I saw on Facebook. Sara was the stylist I had my first appointment with and it was a great match! Sara always listens to me and helps with any concerns I have. She’s always very upfront and gives her honest opinions of whatever it is that I want to do to my hair and is real about the expectations on the color. She makes me feel like I’m just hanging out with a good friend while she does my hair and I feel like that’s a hard thing to find these days. I’m never disappointed and always love how my hair turns out every single time. She never gets annoyed when I want to completely change my hair color and in fact gets really excited probably more than me to see the end result. Oh and as if it couldn’t get any better, the chairs at the wash bowls are vibration massaging chairs. I don’t always take advantage of them, but it’s a very nice touch!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueThis was my first time trying out a new salon in the last 10 years and I can easily say I had such a wonderful experience at Salon MACKK! I’m about to move into the area and was on the search for a closer salon, and I am so happy I found this place! My hair stylist name was Sara and she was so fun to work with, the entire experience Sara felt more like an old friend then a stranger just working on my hair. She made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire experience. We were cutting off over 12 inches of my hair to donate, I gave Sara some ideas of what I would like and shared my concerns as well and she worked her magic. Overall I am very happy with my haircut, and have received a ton of compliments. Everyone in the salon is following COVID-19 guidelines, with masking up and even sanitizing the salon chairs once they’ve been used. This place really gives you a nice sense of safety. I also can’t forget to talk about their prices either, my haircut was so reasonably priced, it literally felt like a steal for the experience & service I received. I’m about to move into the area and was on the search for a closer salon, and I am so happy I found this place! This Salon is fantastic!! I’ve been going here for over 10 years and would not go anywhere else. Everyone is super friendly and kind. Rae does my hair and it always looks fabulous!! I love the color and the cut she gives me. She is so talented. All the stylists are awesome!! They always improve their skills, taking classes and learning new techniques!! I highly recommend this place. It is clean and they make you feel appreciated as a client. You won’t be disappointed.

The woman that did my hair is extremely sociable, and makes it a point to have a conversation with you while your here. Yes, the prices are higher than other places, but they are worth it. You get what you pay for here – quality cut, people, the skills, a clean organized business, and everything is very positive. They even called me when an earlier appointment opened up to offer it to me. Thats how you get a customer to come back. They take note when your scheduling if you were looking for a different time, and if it comes up, they call you to see if you want it. Kudos to this place.

The stylists Candace and Sarah were so helpful in consulting us on new styles for each of us, taking their time throughout, and really listening to what we each hoped to achieve – and they did a FANTASTIC job!
