I moved back to the area and searched for months for a stylist that was not only into styling hair , but caring for hair. I finally found Salon M double U and Hair Haven. I’m just four months shy of being a client for a year now. The salon and stylist have a very welcoming spirit. I came at a time where my hair was breaking off and falling out by the hand fulls. On my first appointment La’Sonia provided me with a plan to get my hair back healthy and now my hair is passed my shoulders. I love this salon and the stylist. “Don‘t cheat yourself treat yourself.”

In response: As I said before the price was never disclosed. I understand the “defense,” but I stand firm on my experience. Not once did you explain this process of a “consultation,” when I called to booked. I was not made aware of these extra services on the phone nor in the chair. You presented it to me in a matter of fact way as you went along. You told me my hair was clogged at the shampoo bowl, then said let me show you and then we went to the machine. Not once did you ever sit me down and say at “Salon M Double we don’t just wash, cut, and trim.” You never gave me this elaborate explanation on the phone when I booked or even when I was there. When I called to make the appointment you asked what I wanted. I told you, wash, trim and set. You told me there was a $50 deposit and that was it. So to say that’s not all you do at the spa is misleading when you said ok and booked me. As far as gratuity goes, I always show my appreciation for the effort because the effort never goes unnoticed in my book. Even if that means I wasn’t satisfied and will never return. That’s a personal preference. As far as it being mediocre. It was. I had two people question if I went to the salon that day. And the curls did not last. I was told I did my own hair better the last time I did it. None of this process that you are trying to get the public to believe was ever disclosed or did you forget that you didn’t tell me because you were on the phone? ♀️

This salon is an experience. It makes you feel as though you are at a spa. The decor, music and the ambiance create a very welcoming environment. My stylist/salon owner was very knowledgeable. She is really into hair care and fully explains to you about your hair condition and proper care. My hair is thinning terribly at the top so I receive scalp treatments. The scalp treatment with steam is THE BEST. I fell asleep during the treatment as I was so relaxed. My hair is growing back too. This salon is great for people who want someone that cares about the health of your hair and styling it. I will continue to come to Salon M double U as a part of my self care. Self care starts with my hair.

I wouldn’t go there as a new client. A hair cut took 2 hours, it wasn’t busy and it didn’t get styled yet I got charged a styling fee. She was on the phone and did not ask if I wanted to get a hair treatment and proceeded to do it without advising in advanced it was a extra charge. And curly hair is cut best when wet not dry yet I was put on the dryer for it to get dried and once on the chair she thought I was going to get it curled but all I wanted was a hair cut but was to busy on the phone to ask me or check to make sure. The hair cut was bad because she didn’t frame my face just cut it length wise but as I mentioned didn’t style it and because she cut it dry it looked worse, I had to point out one side was longer then the other. By then it had been two hrs and just wanted to leave, I had to go home and cut my hair myself to finish leveling it out and get the right shape because curly hair shouldn’t be cut straight but in a U shape im layers so the curls bounce and coil correctly. It cost 200 dollars to get a hair cut with treatment I did not ask for and no styling. Not worth the money. Unless your a old client or shes actually attentive to you as a customer I would not recommend.
