My first appointment with Kayla went great. I have family members who recommended her so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. The young lady who shampoo my hair was very very good. She scratched my scalp first and then washed it. Omg it was great and I have eczema on my scalp so that was the perfect way to take care of it. I also liked how she made sure my hair was de tangled during and after the wash. The steamer is amazing. My scalp felt so clean and refreshed. Once Kayla styled my hair she educated me on my hair and how to take care of it. She even recommended a oil she provides to help with my edges. My hair was so shiny at the end of the appointment. It wasn’t weighed down with products.This is the best my hair has looked Period. I do wish the appointment booking system was better however I think when I go for my next appointment in two weeks I will book in the salon with her to make sure I am doing it correctly. I do drive 45 minutes to the salon so I like to make sure my appointment is confirmed. However it is definitely worth the trip. Thank you Kayla

Kayla is a GEM! I’ve franticly searched for almost a year, after my former stylist passed away, for someone who not only was a great stylist, but also had a lot of positive energy and a genuine personality. Kayla has exceeded my expectations. The first time she styled my natural hair, it was so soft and silky. From the moment I walked in to her gorgeous salon, I was met with professionalism. Her assistants are equally professional. I love that once my hair is dry, Kayla is ready to style me and there is minimal wait, something not always found in salons. I’m extremely grateful that I’ve found someone who knows the importance of healthy hair no matter the style. I’m a customer for life!

Rude and unprofessional. I wish business owners, especially black business owners, invest more time and resources in perfecting customer service skills. Instead of becoming defensive and personally internalizing an upset client’s complaint due to YOUR actions, well moreso lack thereof, and lack of professionalism, how about working to show empathy and resolving the matter. After canceling, rescheduling and not showing up at YOUR place of employment after 2 hours for an appointment that YOU scheduled, Kayla denied services because of her client being upset and questioning her. I’m quite sure if Kayla hadn’t heard a word from someone who was to provide services to her, she would have done the same. Business owners must learn to extend the same professional courtesy that they would expect from any business that they patronize. No one wants to waste time, money and energy on matters that could have been resolved well in advance with proper communication so the client can make a well-informed decision. Your affairs are not your client’s concern. Business is business…and this experience was just BAD BUSINESS!!

Kayla was very rude to a client and it was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. The lady was waiting 2 hours for Kayla to do her hair. The lady proceeded to ask how long she would be and Kayla told her she didn’t need to know why she was late, if she didn’t want to wait she could leave. The most absurd thing I’ve ever heard.

This salon is amazing, I’ve been with Kayla since June and she’s stuck with me for life now. Her professionalism is amazing and she has the best energy to be around. I’ve always been scared to try new things with my hair, but Kayla gets it right every time. I have Micro links and we’ve gone short, long, no color to color and it always looks great.
