My stylist was super nice but had no idea how to deal with my hair that is curly. I made an appointment for a couple of services but when I got there I was told that they could only do certain things because they close at 4pm. It seemed like my stylist was being rushed to finish with me just so that the individual waiting for her could lock up leaving her to apologize for rushing and for not really knowing what to do with my hair. After almost 4 hrs and 300 dollars later I left the salon looking like this. The girl at the front desk had the nerve to tell me that she really liked the color .

I have been a faithful client of Scott for almost a year now! Scott is BEYOND talented when it comes to hair and even though he has the large clientele to show for it, he still manages to make all his clients feel special. I enjoy my hair appointments with him and will not go to anyone else as long as I am in the area. I recently moved to the area and someone referred me to Scott at Salon James. I consider him a hidden gem. If you are a blonde and would like highlightes close to the root with no brass, lots of shine and insightful thoughtful placement based on how you part or style your hair, I wouldn’t hesitate to make an appt with him. He has over 2 decades of experience and just knows the deal. Very talented man and also he is a very nice guy to chat it up with bc of his good sense of humor! Due to the fact that I do not blow dry my hair ever and left with it wet.. I don’t feel as though I properly expressed my enthusiasm for your work and also didn’t want to interrupt you with your next client so I felt I should let you know that you are very talented Scott and I thank you for showcasing your talent on me! After not sitting in a chair for a while I thought I would go to a reputable business. Made an appointment for a haircut and beard trim or so I thought I did. I got the haircut but the Stylist said they do not do beard trims and I should go to a barber. The Stylist seemed a little rushed because I guess she was in the middle of a hair dye with someone else. Came home and shaved the rest of the hair off of the back of my neck which was sticking above my shirt line and trimmed my beard. I will probably just stay with cutting my own hair unless anyone can recommend a good Barber shop.

I would definitely recommend this salon for its cleanliness and its professional staff. Scott was amazing in that he understood my vision which was a corporate, Wall Street look. I am amazed by his cutting skills and his accuracy and precision with the cut. His talent is phenomenal and the haircut turned heads afterwards. . It was very sleek and classic. I have already booked another appointment with him in the future
