Regretably tried this place again went from decent to terrible. Butchered my hair and said “it’s just hair it will grow back ” I look TERRIBLE. BUYER BEWARE. the stylist was over booked again and completely messed up my color and cut. My bangs are like an inch down my forehead, I asked for red hair I got light brown. It was all I could do not to cry. Wish I could give negative stars. My suggestion would be to allow your stylist time to provide a quality service. I paid for a cut and style and booked ahead, but my appointent was put on the books so she wasn’t prepared and had hair appointments every half hour. The cut and service was decent but rushed and she didn’t have time to properly style my hair. I may try again as I felt bad for her and she still took me even though my appointment wasn’t in the book.

John is absolutely incredible and the most impressive hair stylist that has ever worked on my hair! He is knowledgeable and highly skilled, his consultations are accurate and he knew exactly what I wanted and needed! Good haircut but still crying over lost hair. I agreed to four inches off but in measuring and referencing before pictures it was much closer to eight. First time this has ever happened to me and lesson learned – wear contacts instead of glasses and don’t ever let someone start cutting in the back! Made it home and my three year old wisely told me it would grow back. Nuts!

Very good. I am not a very stylish person, so I can’t say anything about their other services, but the experiences I have had getting my hair cut there are great. The guy who cuts my hair, John, is also the owner. He is really nice and does a great job. The prices are low. They also sell shampoo and stuff in case you use a specific kind. If you need a cut or some other hair-related thing this is a good place to go.

I came here because my regular barber was not available. Was served by Naz. Nice lady but very incompetent in cutting men hair. Once home and washed my hair, I realized she did a very poor job. Very pricey as well.Would not recommend her if you have thick hair.

I visited this salon to get my hair dyed black. It was my first time visiting. I called the day before and the man who answered said Naz was availablethe next day. I asked him how much and he said $85 for a color, no cut. I wanted to go back to Scissor & Comb Salon. They are great, just expensive. My 2nd choice was Ulta, who charge $75 for a pro or $95 for elite services for a full color and blowout, but I’m going out of town on monday and they didn’t have anything available until next week. I go in the next day and showed Naz a picture of the color I wanted and told her i want to go black with brown undertones in the light, like a very dark dark brown that is close to black. Natural. I specifically said I didn’t want jet black. She dyed my hair and told me to have a seat anywhere else but her chair for 30 minutes to let the color take. Naz took 3 clients as i sat and waited with a burning scalp for her to wash my hair out. She finally washed my hair and was assuring me it was dark brown but not too brown. Then she told me she didn’t have time to blow dry my hair straight and said i should wear it curly. She brushed my curly hair. Every curly girl with my hair texture know you’re not suppose to brush curls out. You finger comb or use a wide tooth comb, but I can’t blame her due to the specific demographic that visitd the salon. I had to go to the bathroom to reset the curl pattern with water from the sink. Then I sat under the dryer to dry my hair. I go to the front to pay and she charges me $125, not the $85 the guy said, for a full-head black dye, no cut, no blowout. At this point I’m too drained and frustrated to fight this price. I regret not fighting it. All she did was put black dye in my hair and wash it out. I don’t understand why it was $125. I thought it was $85 for color and blowout. If anything, I thought she would reduce the price for something less interest in my hair compared to her other clients. I get out to the sunlight after being in there for 2.5 hrs and my hair is super JET BLACK. I look goth. I went home immediately and tried some home remedies to lighten my hair including applying honey to it. Didn’t work. How can I fix black?! I just got to deal with it. Let me not forget to mention that she left black dye on all over both earlobes, all around my hairline, on neck, specs of it on my face, on in my work shirt. I used acetone to try to get it off. I couldn’t remove all of it so I had to blow dry my hair straight, which took me hours because I’m no professional, and wear it out to cover my neck and ears for work the next day. I’m so embarrassed. I regret not going back to Scissor & Comb where they originally did a great job on my hair. All because I was rushing for my trip and wanted to save a little more.
