She has a great ability to communicate with her clients and truly works with you to find a hairstyle that suits you. I used to dread getting my hair braided because of how much it hurt and how uncomfortable most environments are, but Kiki is so professional, clean, organized, NICE, transparent and good at her job that I wish I could go more often! I followed Kiki from Fantastic Sam’s to Salon Empowered because she is, very simply, an incredibly good stylist and hair colorist. Not only that, I like her. She’s warm and intelligent and nice (in the very best sense of the word). With Kiki’s skills, I went from years of coloring my hair to my natural (gray) color. I love it! Kiki has consistently been encouraging and supportive. She’s also one of the very few people who has told me I have nice hair!! I have been amazed by the people I meet who say they like my hair! (That’s never happened before.) I tell them it’s because of Kiki.

One of my personal frustrations is going back to a salon, and finding out the person that did my hair last time no longer works there, and I have to go through the entire process of explaining my hair to someone new… where the cowlicks are, where they can cut shorter, and where they can cut longer…I have been going to Kiki for over a year now at Salon Empowered, and she has perfected my haircut. Each time she cuts it, as incredible as it is to say, she somehow finds a way to improve over the last cut.Let me say that again: She puts the time and effort in to make every cut better than the last. She has trimmed my beard twice now, and… I’m just going to say it… this is the best I’ve looked in years. As incredible as that is? She does all that for half the price of any other Salon I’ve went to in the cities. Extremely competitive rates.Kiki is also skilled in the art of conversation. If you want to dive into some deep topics, Kiki’s right there. If you want to joke about the weather lately… she’s there too.Overall, I don’t believe it’s possible for me to oversell this business.
