I loved going to Salon Elite! I was having a hard time finding a place who could cut my curly (3a-b) hair and would understand what I want, but Salon Elite was perfect. I did a (free!) consultation before my actual appointment to talk about my hair and what I wanted, and that helped me to feel comfortable knowing that the salon knew what to do with curly hair. When I had my actual appointment, I felt very comfortable there and was offered drinks and was even given a granola bar. They used curly shampoo on my hair and my hairdresser took extra time to make sure the highlights on my head were even and looking how I wanted. The cut is perfect and just what I asked for! The only reason I took a star off was because the ending style done by the hairdresser left my hair extremely frizzy and without any defined curls, so I had to re-style when I went home, but I understand that styling curly hair can be pretty difficult. I will be definitely returning!

I’ve been back in the Hampton Roads area for over a year and had not found a stylist I loved. I just go for a cut and dry and Carson did an AMAZING job. I’ve gone a few times for cuts and coloring. Trying to give this salon a chance in seeing different stylists. Each time I felt incredibly under valued and left with my hair either horribly uneven or barely there coloring. Though I tried communicating many times their approach would not work well with my hair. But what do I know? They are the stylists. Not worth the price or the arrogance.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI tried to get an appointment day of yesterday and I was booked with Lexi, their new girl. She was still getting a certification I believe, but basically she still needed some tips and tricks as she recently started there. I got a long bob haircut and an olaplex treatment. It was really great the way the other employees interacted with Lexi and stepped in when she needed some tips on what to do, I was very happy to have her as my hair stylist and it was overall just nice to be there on my only day off this week. Best part is, is that she didn’t mess up either! She did great and my hair feels so much better and looks 10X better! You know when you go into a salon and you just feel….judged? I never felt that AT ALL at Salon Elite. Lexi was very warm and inviting, and so very kind. I’ll put it to you this way, I have been to many hair salons in my lifetime and this was a great experience for me! I have already booked my next appointment with Lexi! If you have some extra time to get your hair done and want to feel like your friend is working on your hair versus just another random stylist, go see Lexi. Thank you so much for a great experience, Lexi and Salon Elite. She was still getting a certification I believe, but basically she still needed some tips and tricks as she recently started there. I got a long bob haircut and an olaplex treatment. I have been using this salon for 16 years. I have never had a bad stylist. Prices and services range per stylist but are comparable to other salons who do not necessarily have the skill level these girls (&Joe) have. There has been no turnover on ownership so things stay consistent and Sheri still works in the shop and is always willing to answer questions or offer advice. Tell them I sent you !

Ms. Sirrena was just amazing with the work she did on my hair. She is so kind and polite. She did everything I asked for and it turned out as I always wanted my hair to be. I called same day and they gladly took me on. The people are so nice and polite there as well. The shop is clean and welcoming. Prices are the best I’ve seen in Newport News and the outcome is well worth it. I highly recommend this salon to anyone. Thanks again guys .
