Salon Copala is a full service hair salon for women, men and kids – located in the beautiful Salon’s by JC at Southdale Square in Richfield, MN. Work is performed by Master Stylist Jose Balanzar-Medel, a cosmetology graduate of Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. Jose is also a certified instructor for Aqua Hair Extensions. Offerings include cuts, color, perms, relaxers, facial waxing, brow and lash tinting, hair extensions and updos for any occasion. Appointments are recommended.

Jose is the BEST! I just had my second haircut with him and he did just as great a job as last time. He really takes the time to listen and understand what cut you are looking for and will tweak it to best fit your face. He takes his time and doesn’t rush you in or out. I am beyond pleased and will be back again and again. he’s also an absolutely sweetheart and so much fun to talk to. I can’t wait to be back for my next cut!

Jose was my barber. He did a good job but cut my hair much shorter then was implied. There wasn’t a lack of information either I gave him the photos of my original cut and it was cut much shorter then my prior cut. As stated the haircut was quality just not what was wanted. Jose is friendly, smart, thoughtful, and thorough! I highly recommend him for a good and careful cut and style. He carefully listened to what I was hoping for, and the result was wonderful. His goal is perfection. He made it very clear that I can voice my opinions and requests openly if there is something I want or do not like. Personally, I am sensitive to fragrances and some chemicals, so he let me inspect each product before he used it on my hair. He was very gentle on my hair, too! I am super pleased with his service, and I will be back! 🙂
