Our teams are made up of the best stylists in North Carolina- we have multiple brand educators and multiple stylists certified in extensions. When I came to Salon Blu a year ago and started my hair recovery journey with Amanda, I had no idea what it was like to have my hair professionally done. My hair was dry, mistreated, box colored (bleach) since I was 16. She was able to help me understand the proper hair maintenance, products, and styles that are meant for my hair type. I have loved every appt I have had with Amanda. She does above quality work and takes care of her clients! She is personable, kind, and knowledgeable in her field. I wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else. 🙂

Amanda is amazing!! I’ve been going to her for exactly a year now and I’ve never once left the salon disappointed with my haircuts and coloring. She’s always so bubbly, kind, and extremely knowledgeable with her work. When I first went to her, I was still traumatized from past haircuts from other salons so I really didn’t want her to do much to my hair but I quickly got comfortable with her and now let her do whatever! I’m never leaving her!!

I am so disappointed with my experience. I went in and said I wanted to start going from dark to blonde, which I knew couldn’t necessarily be done in one appointment but I did not think I would leave with half of my hair basically untouched! The highlights missed major chunks of hair so I was left with an golden/ashy in the front and brown in the back look. And the worst part was the stylist simply didn’t seem to care. She left me with the person she was training and had her check my color and do my toner. I literally saw the actual stylist for 25% of the service that I ended up paying over $300. I’ve been told I’ll get a call “in a few days” to address my concerns, which is so unprofessional for what I paid for the service. In the business world if you charge that much per hour you better be on the phone right away trying to keep your clients happy. If you can find another salon, I suggest you do so. Don’t risk it!

I was sooo disappointed with this salon. I needed my roots colored and a cut. The stylist recommended root touch up and a glaze. My normally medium brown color came out very dark (almost black). On my second visit, the stylist recommended lightening up my hair with highlights. The highlights came out and thick strands of blondish streaks. The cost of both visits was close to $600! I am looking for a new salon and it will cost me even more money to get my color corrected. My advice is STAY AWAY!

I had a horrible experience with both the staff and management here. I had to go to the salon three different times for them to try to fix my hair that their stylist messed up and permanently damaged. They then told me there was nothing they could do to fix it and that I needed to contact management. I tried calling for a week straight and still never was able to talk to a manager or owner. They told me management would reach out and they never did. I’ve now been spending so much additional money trying to fix the problems they caused. The stylist and management were completely unhelpful and unprofessional throughout the entire process.

I made an absolute mess of my hair with an at home highlights kit. I reached out to one of their stylists on Instagram who responded immediately and said she’d get ahold of me in the morning when the salon opens and let me know what availability they had. She reached out the next morning and they squeezed me in with Johnny for a color correction. He was absolutely amazing. So kind and friendly and funny and talented. I’ve never been more happy with my color. Johnny did a low maintenance balayage and root touch up that not only reversed the mess I made, but made my hair color look SO much more natural and totally exceeded my expectations! Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had with a salon and a stylist. I’m a forever Salon Blu customer and Johnny client!

I had my dark hair balayaged here by Amanda. When leaving the salon, my hair was styled and parted in a way that I could not see how uneven the coloring was and, during the appointment, I told Amanda that I part my hair in the middle everyday. When I washed my hair and parted my hair in the middle, I saw that the right side of my head had significantly more lightening than the left side. I contacted Amanda on Instagram with photos and to ask for advice. She acknowledged that the part was incorrect when she lightened and just told me to dye over it at home with demi-permanent color. I expressed how unfortunate the mistake was and asked what color or brand she recommended and she never responded. This balayage and hair cut costed me around $300 for reference.
