I came here a couple times and always had great experiences, nothing to complain about. But this last time I came in really had me going crazy. First things first, I booked my appointment weeks in advance, for a simple cut and no blow dry. Keep in mind this isn’t my first time getting a haircut or even going to a hair salon. A couple days before my appointment, the owner calls me and says she doesn’t take new clients so she will move me to someone else. If you don’t take new clients then why have yourself open on your website for anyone to book you? Anyways, I get moved to someone else don’t remember her name nor will I mention her name out of respect. The morning of my appointment, they call me again and push my appointment 15 minutes, which I understand if your running behind. I get to my appointment and show the woman what cut I want. She never washed my hair, so she cut my hair dry!!! I have NEVER had that happen to me going to a salon. They always wash my hair first before cutting it. I let her know that I always have my hair washed when I get my hair done and she proceeded to spray my hair with a spray bottle and said “ okay your done”. My experience felt very rushed as if she wanted me in and out. Meanwhile as she was cutting my hair, her next client walked in and that’s what made me think she was just rushing me out the door. She let me walk out with dirty oily hair and I will never be going back. For a service where I don’t get my hair washed, no product or styling was done, I deserve my money back. I had to go home, wash my hair myself and style it myself. Absolutely horrendous.

The salon is paying such close attention to cleanliness and the safety of their clients as well as themselves. Maryellen is fantastic and I am so happy with her work today. I highly recommend Salon Aponte to anyone especially if your looking for organic color. Just had my hair done by Maryellen for the first time after the Covid quarantine. The salon is paying such close attention to cleanliness and the safety of their clients as well as themselves. Maryellen is fantastic and I am so happy with her work today. I highly recommend Salon Aponte to anyone especially if your looking for organic color. I’ve been going to Salon Aponte for about a year now and absolutely love it!! After I moved to the area I was on a search for a new hair salon and I couldn’t be happier that I found this place. I love the organic color systems they use. My scalp is never itchy or irritated after coloring, the color holds really well, and my hair is much healthier after making this change. Prices are fair and Jess always handles my ever changing style requests beautifully. If you haven’t been here, you should check it out!
