Everyone always asks how I’m doing when I come in and they genuinely care about their Clients. All of the Stylists at the Salon have such a good relationship and it’s fun seeing them interact with one another. You can tell they are truly a Work Family. They foster such a friendly atmosphere and positive environment at Salon Afton! I always enjoy getting my hair done here and I always get so many compliments on my hair color because of how wonderful Ashlee is at what she does! Ashlee Magnuson is My Hair Stylist and I followed her to Salon Afton when she came here almost Two Years Ago! The Receptionists are always so sweet and The Owners are so kind! Everyone always asks how I’m doing when I come in and they genuinely care about their Clients. All of the Stylists at the Salon have such a good relationship and it’s fun seeing them interact with one another. You can tell they are truly a Work Family. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityAs a first-time customer, it’s safe to say that one of the key highlights about Salon Afton is the staff, who are incredibly friendly, accommodating, and courteous. I was greeted by one of the receptionists, Madeline, who was very kind. She made sure that I was comfortable, and offered me complimentary drinks before I was met with my colorist, Whitney. A lovely person inside and out, Whitney never failed to make me feel relaxed while she worked her magic on my hair.I explained to Whitney that I wanted to brighten up the highlights that I already had in my hair. I’ve kept the same brown highlights for the past two years, and I’ve decided to add some blonde for a change. Although the finished product wasn’t as light as I wanted it to be, the color turned out to be beautiful. (I’ve learned that my hair is very stubborn to lightning because it is very long, dark, and thick.) It did require two toning sessions because there was still some yellow in my hair after the first session, but after the second one, Whitney and I were very satisfied with the color. Additionally, Whitney took before and after pictures so that I could see a difference in the color and the end result was a drastic improvement!Whitney’s expertise on hair care and hair color is commendable. Throughout my session, she informed me of the products and chemicals that were going on my hair. She prioritized keeping my hair healthy after bleaching it by adding some keratin treatment. It was obvious that Whitney took immense pride in doing hair.I left the salon with smooth and silky, beautifully-scented hair. The color exceeded my expectations (again, I was hoping for something lighter but I also knew that it was going to be impossible to achieve it in just one session). I will DEFINITELY be coming back again for a second visit.For anyone living in the Concord, Harrisburg, or Kannapolis area, you NEED to visit Salon Afton. She is very professional, knowledge and always gives me exactly what I want. She is very talented and amazing at what she does. I have never left this salon unhappy. I always leave feeling beautiful.
