I had an event to go to and my regular stylist elsewhere was busy that day so I googled up this place, booked an appointment and went in for a quick wash and set. While doing my hair, the stylist suggested a trim so I did that. Despite the appointment I made, I got there on time, but I didn’t get my hair washed until about 30 min, after. I had to wait about 30 min to sit under the dryer, I had to wait after I got out of the dryer and just kept waiting for everything and I had been there for 3+ hours before my hair was done completely. When it was finally time for me to leave, I went to the front desk to pay and I was told I owed $90 for what I wouldn’t pay any more than $50 for. Wash+set+trim shouldn’t cost $90. When I ask what why so much, the girl at the front desk quickly caught attitude and stated, your hair is long and if you’re not happy with the price, I suggest you don’t come back again. I was shocked and I said excuse me? She said yes I said that…I didn’t want to argue In front of my daughter and I was in a time crunch so I left and I never went back. But it still hurts me how she was so rude to me and she didn’t even care…

I’ve been going here for years for a blowout about once a month. I typically wear my hair straight and love the end results. I have noticed changes in my curl pattern, so if you like to keep your natural curls I would be cautious. I don’t think you can have regular blowouts from anywhere without some heat damage. The quality of service has gone down from what it was. Some of my favorite stylists are no longer there and I rarely see the owner around. The washers use to take their time, detangle, and even if you have dandruff scrape your scalp. Now it seems they are in a rush to get you out of their chair. For the most part I do feel like they shampoo well but they dont detangle properly and rip the comb through your hair, and they ignore dandruff. Prices are high and they try to upcharge on everything. Know what you are paying. I want to keep coming but may look elsewhere if things don’t change.

This salon has went downhill. I’ve been going there for years. I finally came back on break from college to get my hair straightened. My hair is super greasy and barely straightened! Then they taxed me $105 for this mess. I will never come back again. 0/10 Hairstyling

Critical: QualityHorrible Experience!! They BURNED MY HAIR OFF!!! Customer service was absolutely horrific. The owner of the salon was there when I came in and she never spoke to any of the customers, she just kept walking around talking loud and was being unprofessional. The receptionist when I walked in was having a personal conversation and didn’t even greet me (I had to initiate her scheduling my appointment). I tell her I want a roller set and at the time my hair was in a messy bun so it looked a lot thicker than it was. She tells me NO with your hair texture you just need a regular blowout. I know my hair when it is wet… my hair is very soft and it’s not super thick so I already knew that the traditional blowout would be too much for my hair but I went along with what she said. The two ladies who washed my hair were so rude and instead of telling me how to position my head, they would just push my head in that direction. When I got my hair blow dried I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable because the blow dryer was unbearable HOT. I thought it was strange and I told my stylist that the blow dryer was too hot for me. She didn’t care. She just kept blow drying. After I go to wrap my hair I notice that a whole section of my hair on the side is super short and was crispy and brittle like it had been burned off. Long story short.. My stylist burned my hair and didn’t even tell me. This company is trash. They don’t know anything about hair or customer service. Your hair will be straight but it will be broken off and no one will tell you they burned your hair off. They also don’t know how to curl hair very well at all. The whole experience was horrible.. The owner of the salon was there when I came in and she never spoke to any of the customers, she just kept walking around talking loud and was being unprofessional. Critical: Professionalism, ValueI wanted to love this salon really bad. The customer service is not at the top of their priority list, just money and mediocre work. I got Brazilian knots with hair I purchased directly from the salon. Two days later my hair was completely tangled so I went to the salon in hopes that they could remedy the situation. Not only did the owner (who completed my install) not acknowledge me or my problem, she made sure that I paid full price for a wash and blow out. They even had mention of paying EXTRA to detangle. The owner had not one care or concern about my issue or the fact that I paid almost $1000 to purchase hair and have the install complete. I understand as a business owner myself that at times you can’t please everyone but she offered NO accommodation and she didn’t even take the time out to come speak with me directly to figure out what possibly could be done. I have been to several Dominican salons but this owner is very impersonable, lacks customer service skills, and lacks the ability to problem solve after you’ve spent your hard earned money at her salon. I will say however; the employees are very friendly and quick. If you value your money and time save it and go somewhere else that prides themselves in superior customer service, character and accountability. The owner would rather spend more time arguing with you online about your honest review than being a person of integrity in real life and caring about actually resolving issues of her customers. Critical: ProfessionalismVery unprofessional, they had me wait for 2 days for a total of 4 hours to get nothing done. They don’t care about making you feel comfortable. I have been here a few times over the past few years however I made an appointment both times the first appointment Friday 9/18/2020 they had me waiting for an hour at the Bowie location it was my first time there I normally go to the landover location. I leave and rescheduled for Saturday 9/19/2020 I come on time was siting for 30 mins before a wash. I get called for the wash and sit under the dryer at this point I’m 1 going on two hours there. I sit and wait for my turn to get my hair done. They had another customer they knew come in she got her hair wash right away and got under the dryer. Once the 1 stylists finishes the two people I was next she grabs the lady who came in after me and sits her down. No communication no nothing I had been there for 3 hours waiting with my daughter. I got up and walked out. Nobody said anything they just kept speaking in there language and that’s ridiculous. What a way to make some feel not wanted and treated like pure trash. The staff continued to pull other ladies from the dryer while we already dry just waiting. The owner’s sister continues to tell me it’s one more person ahead of me as they waited for clients under the hairdryer hair to actually dry and my hair was already dry.
